From this to that.👁

Our Patient Luffy has had his right eye worsen thru the months and his owner noticed how uncomfortable he has become because of it. He isn't as active and is always defensive with the right eye. His owners then decided to have surgery done (enucleation) to ease his pain.

Just a week after his surgery, his owners noted that his "kulit" has doubled. Showing how comfortable and pain-free he feels now 🫶🏻

Luffy is on his way to enjoying his life more ✨️🫶🏻

This poor baby was brought to us having just been rescued. She appeared as if she has never been groomed her whole life with the amount of matted hair she has.

She was like a brand new dog after her grooming was done. Unfortunately we were too excited and forgot to take a pic 😅

Here is Boom, a 4-year-old intact female that has started to become lethargic a few days back. She isn't her usual self and she also started to lose appetite.

Upon examination, it showed that she has a high fever, here mucous membranes were pale and her abdomen is abnormally large. We did a blood test and it showed a high infection. Ultrasound was also done and it showed what we feared, a condition called pyometra. It is basically an infection in the uterus that requires immediate treatment.

Surgery was done to remove the infected uterus. We did a follow up after a week to remove her stitches and to do another blood test. Since then, Boom has fully recovered and is back to her active self 🙏🏻

Here is our patient, Mira. She is a 6-month-old, intact, mixed breed baby who had hurt her left forelimb a few weeks back.

The limb is non-weight bearing and she struggled with walking while exhibiting pain when moving around.

Since the trauma isn't fresh, manipulating it and casting it is not possible anymore. Hence, amputation was deemed most practical in this situation.

It may seem morbid, but dogs and cats can actually adapt to having 3 legs quite easily. It helped even more that Mira is still a puppy and will have a lot of time to get used to it.

Now Mira can freely move around free from pain. She is back to running and jumping with her siblings.

Here is our patient, Riri. She is a 9-year-old female Poodle. Owners brought her in due to the foul smell coming from her oral cavity. They also noted a "thickening" on the left side of her mouth.

Upon examination, it was clear what was causing the foul smell - 𝙖 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝟒 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 🦷🦷🦷 Her teeth were covered with thick calculi/plaque, her gums were inflammed (gingivitis), she had loose/moving teeth, and even an epulis (mass on gingiva).

Treatment: dental prophylaxis, removal of loose teeth, and excision of epulis.

From this to that in 2 days of confinement 🫶🏻

Yumi was brought in barely able stand, extremely dehydrated, zero appetite, unable to urinate, and having an eye infection. Initial treatment plan for him included catheterization, IV fluid therapy, ophthalmic drops, and injectable anti inflammatory.

In just 2 days of confinement, his urine has almost cleared (from bloody), has been able to eat and drink well, eyes have already opened and pus is no longer oozing out, and he is able to vocalize and move around his cage.

A tell tale sign that your pet is dehydrated. ⬇️💧

This is called the skin turgor test wherein the elasticity of the skin is tested. Once you pinch the skin, it should do back to its original position in 1-2 seconds. If it took more than that time, then dehydration is present.

Here is Shifu, our 9-year-old intact male mixed-breed patient. He has been having difficulty urinating and/or defecating due to his perineal hernia.

He has previously undergone perineal hernia repair surgery on the left side. However, his post op care was challenging for his fur parents (he was able to run around, lick his wound, and scratch the area on the ground), that leaking was observed from the supposedly healed wound.

This time, another hernia has developed on the right side. And so this surgery will be both on the left and right side.

FLUTD - Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease, more commonly known as the UTI in cats can be detrimental to your fur baby's health specially when left untreated. Pregnant pets can sometimes show dystocia (difficult or obtructed labor) by the end of their pregnancy. This may be caused by several factors and will almost always result to a caesarian section. With our case here, the puppies were too big and in breech position making it impossible for the mommy dog to expel them out. During surgery, it was very notable that the uterus suffered much damage and will just contribute to the ongoing infection mommy dog has and so, spaying was done as well.
