Superworm Frass is similar to earthworm castings, except it contains a large number of benefits that earthworm castings don't. Frass contains an organic plant enhancer known as Chitin. Chitin is a natural polymer that kicks a plants immune system into high gear when Frass is introduced into the soil. When plants detect an abundance of Frass in their environment, they assume that they are being eaten by insects and literally grow for their lives. And Superworm Frass contains the highest Chitin levels of any farmed insect! It also acts as a great fungal inoculent, effectively stimulating the development of mycorrhizal fungi throughout the soil. 80-90% of all plants depend on a symbiotic relationship with mycorrhizal fungi. Superworm Frass also acts as an organic pesticide, helping deter fungal gnats and grubs as well as root-feeding nematodes from the soil.

Frass can be used in several ways:

For soil mixes: Incorporate ½-1 cup frass per cubic foot of media.
For fertigation: Add ½ cup per gallon of water, shake well, and apply every 3-4 weeks.
For sidedressing: 2 Tablespoons per plant before watering every 2-3 weeks.
For foliar feeding: 1-2 Tablespoons per gallon of water; steep 30 min, screen solids, and spray onto leaves.
