CVO HOLDS 2024 PROGRAM EVALUATION, TARGET SETTING EVENT

LOOK: The Tacloban City Veterinary Office (CVO) recently held their 2024 Program Evaluation and Target Setting for CY 2025 last Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Port Royale Resort in Manlurip, San Jose, Tacloban City.

The highlight of the event was a presentation of this year's accomplishments and the target activities for 2025.

CVO Chief Dr. Eunice Jumadiao Alcantara in her message during the event lauded everyone's effort that made the office achieve its goal in its different institutional programs and activities.

Dr. Alcantara particularly mentioned the surpassed revenue target of the veterinary office this year, which reached nearly 8 million pesos from its target of 5 million pesos.

The veterinary health and animal control services, on the other hand, achieved more than their target number of anti-rabies inoculations for the year, which numbered 20,228 or 120% higher than earlier targeted.

Livestock production and meat inspection also fared well, hitting their targets for 2024.

Under the livestock production program, 22 heads of livestock and 710 heads of poultry were dispersed and redispersed, benefiting more animal raisers in Tacloban North this year.

Meanwhile, the Hawaiian-themed event also served as an opportunity to showcase the talents of CVO workers and enhance their camaraderie toward achieving the mandated targets of the office.

LOOK: As part of the animal population control program of the office, five domestic pets were sterilized today, December 12, 2024, at the Tacloban City Veterinary Office (CVO). The operations included four neuters and one spay and were conducted by Dr. Johdel Ty. The owners of the pet subjected to the sterilization procedure earlier made their appointments through the social media account of the veterinary office on Facebook.

Anti-rabies vaccinations, deworming, and veterinary checkups were also availed of by clients at the CVO this Thursday.

LOOK: Two operations were conducted this Tuesday, December 3, at the Tacloban City Veterinary Office by Dr. Johdel Ty, one spay on a cat and a "follow-up" operation on a dog previously subjected to a neuter operation. Dr. Ty was also on hand to assist clients needing veterinary consultation for their pets.

Other regular services of the CVO were availed of by pet owners at the veterinary office.
