Toxocara Cati (2nd Photo) and Toxocara Leonina (3rd Photo) are both common roundworms found in kittens and young cats than adults.

Patient EASTER was presented with dull coat and pot bellied appearance which are the first indications of roundworm infestation. Infection is diagnosed by detection of eggs in f***s.

There are different worming products that are available in various formulations for the treatment and control of intestinal worms in cats.

Did you know that intestinal parasites are a constant drain on your pet's system.

A patient was presented to us this morning with a complaint of bloody stool and inappetence. Presented vaccination and deworming health card was long overdue and incomplete with no signature of a veterinarian. To our surprise, the patient tested positive for canine parvo viral enteritis and intestinal parasite eggs were observed during f***l examination.

This is a gentle reminder from Metrotails Veterinary Clinic to trust your veterinarians and let them do proper assessment/screening tests to determine if your pets are fit for deworming and vaccination.

Our pets dont deserve to go through pain and discomfort from diseases that are preventable.

If you think your pet has intestinal worms, don’t hesitate to consult your veterinarian.
