Since it’s British longhair season at House of Purrs, we have been getting queries as to what are the differences of Persian to British Longhair kids. Hope this can be helpful to first time furrents And deciding wether to get a BLH or PER:

Lap cat : Persians love to sit on furrents lap more that British longhairs

Adapatability : both adapt very well to lifestyle changes and basically all living environments.

Affection Level : are genuinely loyal, soft and gentle, loving and affectionate cats toward their furrents.

Child-friendly : both are child friendly breeds

Dog-friendly : British longhair kids get along very well with the family. Persians, will take time but less friendly.

Stranger-friendly : Persian kids tend to have difficulty getting along with strangers. While British Longhair kids get on well with strangers

Intelligence : Persian kids have average intelligence while British Longhair is one of the brightest breeds

Coat : Persian kids have Glossy fur while British Longhairs have Dense and straight fur

Shedding : high shedding rate for Persian kids while British Longhair kids is of average shedding.
