GENTIN Eye Drops

3mg/ml

- Opthalmic solution, antibacterial. For the topical treatment of ocular infections in dogs and cats caused by Gentamicin-sensitive organisms.

Gentamicin (Gentin) eye drops are prescribed for BACTERIAL INFECTIONS OF THE EYE OR EYELIDS. The drops kill germs (bacteria) which arevthe cause of infections are common cause of conjuctivitis. In conjunctivities, your eye becomes inflamed, feels gritty and may water more than usual.

Gentamicin (Gentin) 0.3% (ophthalmic solution): Instill 1 or 2 into affected eye(s) every 4hours. For severe infections, up to 2 drops imay be instilled every hour. Usually duration of topical anti-infective treatment for bacterial conjunctivitis is 5-10days; 5-7days usually adequate for mild bacterial conjunctivitis.

Gentamicin (Gentin) and other aminoglycosides arevtypically used in combination with a penicillin or cephalosporin for treatment of severe infection with E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Enterobacter, Klebsiella, Serratia, Pseudomonas auruginosa, and other gram negative bacteria resistant to less toxic antibiotics
