No kitten is "just a pet"

When you select a cat from a reputable and quality breeder, this breeder is responsible for the health of every cat; both cats owned and every cat they’ve sold for its lifetime. This breeder will skip holidays, miss sleeping, and most of their personal house space has been turned into space for their cats. The truly passionate breeder who loves what they breed, puts their whole heart and soul into it. Not only in kittens that are sold, but also in each client who owns a piece of their heart and now is a member of their extended family.

This does not take into account any kitten/cat who might get sick or need extra help to thrive. Breeders worry about their babies after they leave and will take one back without question.

A breeder will get their hands dirty, often covered in everything accompanied with birthing. Because that’s what life is about. In the middle of birth and death is life. The wheel that keeps turning. A breeder will do tests, echos, xrays, analysis, emergency c sections, vaccinations, register cats and litters, research pedigrees, deworm, as well as microchip their kittens and get them evaluated by specialists.

Last but by no means least, a breeder CHOOSES the family lucky enough to have one of their kittens. Yes, you read that right. A true breeder chooses who they sell to because they are not making money off the sale. There is no compensation that can offset the investment a Breeder has made so they need to be confident it's the right fit.

Many times saying more NO’s than YES. A good Breeder will have different criteria for those wanting to carry on their bloodline, why? Because breeding is not a responsibility to ever be taken lightly, it’s a lifestyle choice set aside for ONLY the few devoted people WILLING TO SACRIFICE.

Because a cat is never “just a pet” --- it’s the Breeder’s legacy, a little boy’s best friend, a little girl's protector, an elderly person's therapy, a member of the family, someone’s whole world.

Responsible breeding, and owning multiple cats, is a lifestyle and commitment that many are not able to comprehend. 7 days a week and 365 days a year with our lives revolving around our cats.

“Thor"

Just like all his furry friends, I named Thor from the Norse Mythology, which means "God of Love and Thunder". This smoke-black ExoPersian Cat is not only badass as his name suggests, look at how vicious his physique is; he is definitely an Alpha male.

Thor is the 2nd clingiest cat in the house, he loves following us around to get head and tummy scratches. If you walk by and forget to pat Thor, he will most definitely follow you around until you do so.

In addition to eating, sleeping, and scratching, Thor enjoys playing toss and fetch just like Astrid.

“Sif"

Sif's name originates from Norse Mythology which means "wife, bride," which I chose so that we could pair her with our one and only male cat, Thor. - Sif is Thor's wife in Norse Mythology. On May 27, Sif and Thor gave birth to five healthy kittens, three of which were rehomed to their new loving fur parents.

This harlequin persian cat is so fond of her dry kibbles that she would prefer them over wet cat food. My son got so fond of her gentle personality, hence he enjoys spoon-feeding Sif amid all of our house pets.

This feline enjoys napping so much that she spends the majority of her time snoozing.

“Astrid”

I got Astrid's name from Norse Mythology which means "beautiful goddess". She certainly merits the moniker given how stunning she is and how exquisite her calico colors are. She has the most innocent and charming face among her feline companions. 😍

This calico cat is quite playful; anytime she hears or sees me getting a piece of tissue paper, she will come over and pay close attention to whether I will roll the tissue and toss it for her to retrieve, or I will merely be wiping something. She will prod me and insist that we play throw and fetch. She also enjoys using her cat ball toys to play football.

Astrid is also known for being snobby; though on occasion, she would become so needy that she just wanted to be held and patted, but other times, she would want to be left alone. Speaking of space, she dislikes dining with her siblings, she prefers to eat alone or in a corner, distant from her siblings, where you would spoon-feed her. She is quite fussy about what she eats; she does not like mid-range dry kibble, Astrid prefers to have Royal Canin every time. 🤭 She is quite the spoiled baby!😂

"Ra-ra"

This feline tortie's original name, "Nanna," was derived from Norse Mythology which stands for devotion, serenity, and joy. Not until my son decided to start calling her Ra-ra and some times..Wa-wa. 🤭

Rara has always been the sweetest and the kindest. Despite her intimidating looks and menacing gaze, she never complains whether being bathed, given medication/ vitamins, having her fur combed, or even having her teeth brushed. She is never agitated. When she trusts you most, you know you are her hooman. 🤍

This tortie also loves snuggling up on her hooman's bed; she frequently naps up my head, my back, or his hooman sibling's behind. She enjoys having her head and chin scratched as well.

Do you enjoy getting massages? Rara enjoys giving one. She often times knead my palm, my tummy and our soft fleece blanket. 😍

What does Rara enjoy doing the most? Eating! When she hears or sees you approaching with food in your hand, she would make this amusing melodic meows. 🤭
