True. Organic peanuts ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ are best but truly tedious to turn into peanut butter. Still the same, nutritious and tasty!
It takes 540 peanuts to make 12 ounces of peanut butter. One plant produces around 40 pods. Each pod contains 1 to 4 seeds.

Dairy goats are sensitive during lactation. The noise and sight of strangers affect their milk production. Being gentle, quiet, and quick are important during the milking process to obtain the best results. Also, careful procedures such as regular hair clipping in the udder, and hand and equipment sanitation must be observed to ensure milk purity. Even though they are ruminants, goats have feeding characteristics that differ from sheep, cattle, and buffaloes. The unique mechanisms of goats for feed selection, prehension, and utilization give them high survival rates under harsh conditions.
Goats like to eat a variety of feeds, especially the leaves of trees and shrubs which comprise 60% of their diet. Using their mobile upper lip and bipedal stance, they can accurately select only the most nutritious plants or plant parts to eat.
They also have inquisitive feeding behavior. As they tend to bite any material, they will spit out those that are undesirable to them. This means that goats can satisfy their nutrient requirements for production, provided good quality pasture and fodder trees and shrubs are available.

Goat-raising is one of todayโs booming businesses. Aside from being low maintenanceโas they only consume tree leaves, weeds, grasses, and the likeโgoats can be a source of a variety of products.
Compared with other livestock, goat production requires low initial investment and small risks, thus, serves as a good source of income especially for those planning to start their own agribusiness with small budget.
Goat-raising in the Philippines can be done both in backyard and commercial scales. For a successful goat enterprise, the available inputs should be considered when setting production targets. (Business Diary PH)

Even under a thick layer of snow, processes in plant tubers, corms and bulbs take place. It is a form of active hibernation. These root 'extensions' are little storage rooms and clocks at the same time. When the bulbs and tubers are native to your area they will come alive and flower just at the right moment for the wildlife that depends on them. www.healthyyards.org

Invasive plant species are exotic species that show a tendency to spread out of control. Their success is closely related to human activity and their presence is a serious threat to a healthy biodiversity. In urban and suburban areas today, our yards are often the last resort for native plants and wildlife. www.healthyyards.org

For many years we cultivated species to improve human food production, pest resistance and appearance. It is only recently that we are considering the impact of cultivation on our pollinators. Generally straight, non cultivated species are the best choice to attract and support pollinators and wildlife. We think the beauty of these straight species is unsurpassed. And even humble, unsightly natives become beautiful when they are adorned with bees and butterflies! www.healthyyards.org
