I am saddened to inform that I'll will no longer be updating this page for now...
I just bagged most of my fish, all dead...most of them dead for now...
This might be it for me... As I can't justify anymore keeping fish if I can't keep them alive and most of all suffer... I failed on all of it...
I am grateful that all the follow and questions you've asked me, it all made me a better fish keeper...
Thank you,
This page will remain up, for future Cebuano fish keepers...
Happy future fish keeping!

Otocinclus. Why do many claim it's a "sensitive" fish and how was I able to keep some 3+ years and counting???
Video below summarizes what Otocinclus (majority are wild caught) have to go through, before it gets to your tank.
What I did, on why I was able to keep them alive long term...
To clarify, I do lose some after purchase. Usually deaths occur on the 1st month...
These are the steps I do.
I first make sure I buy the otocinclus as soon as it's listed for sale, locally. Reason behind is, I have confidence in myself that I'd be able to take care of them better and so can you following next steps...
Selecting, make sure they don't have sunken bellies... Actively grazing... Lastly, you are able to observe them p**p...
Then, place them in a well planted tank with seasoned driftwood... Preferably one with a lot of algae...
Water parameters, although I will still maintain the best way to keep fish is to provide them the environment they've evolved in, right water or close to it parameters... Since these fish are softwater fish, acclimate them to soft water with RO water or Purified water... If you need them to transition to hardwater, slowly acclimate them to dechlorinated Cebu tap water... Do this after a month in your care, and these acclimation to hardwater should take days even weeks... I've kept them in Cebu's dechlorinated tap water, and did well...
To summarize, provide the right environment and don't stress these already stressed fish... Usually 6+ months in your care and they'll still doing well, you'll then find they're as durable as others...
I hope this helps you with Otos...

I've been away for awhile, and will be back soon to open 2021 breeding season... Hopefully I have new species to breed this year... I do have new stocks coming around September... For anyone interested, let me know what corydoras or plecos you are looking for (I only bring in small ones, adult size 5 inches)... They will not be cheap, but they will not be common...

How I collect Corydoras eggs. Here's a sample video of my Corydoras Sterbai spawning after a few days of consecutive rain... Rain somehow triggers them to spawn, and so I make it a point to add a spawning mop and feed a ton days before it rains... Spawning mop is made with Acrylic Yarn, available in shopee and lazada... There are several youtube videos on how it's made... Where to place in the tank is also important, for Corydoras Sterbai, specifically, letting it float in front of the aquarium works for me... Some you may have to place at the back, darkest area or letting it settle at the bottom... Research online where that particular fish, you are trying to breed would usually spawn and follow the placement... Parental Warning, this video is rated X for young fish... Enjoy!!! Good luck!!! And Happy Fish Keeping!!!
Hypancistrus SP. (L333, Yellow King Tiger Pleco) I currently have around 13pcs growing out, hopefully they all grow fast and nice... Currently acclimating them to fit our Cebu water...

Sturisomatichthys Panamensis (Royal Farlowella/Twig whiptail Catfish) Update: Lost 7+ fry... Out of the 40+ that hatched... So far so good... Feeding 3x a day with spirulina, artemia, and fry food... First 2 weeks of caring for the baby fry is always the hardes, on most species... Hopefully all goes well...
Sturisomatichthys Panamensis (Royal Farlowella/Twig Catfish)... So these laid eggs for me this morning... I have to admit, I'm not ready for these species yet... So I need help... If anyone can help? More Info: These fish are in together with a female A. Panduro, and my C. Trilineatus breeding group. So should I remove these eggs? Or Wait for eggs to hatch and remove the babies? Or Do nothing?
