Walking is an exercise not only for humans but for our little or big furbabies too!

In today's weather, walking can be very dangerous for our pets. It could lead to a heat stroke. Prone to heat strokes are overweight pets, pets with thick coats, old or very young animals, and those that are flat-faced, such as pugs, bulldogs, and Persian cats.

Here are some tips to prevent heat stroke in dogs and cats.

1. Make sure your pets have access to cool, shaded areas, both indoors and outdoors.

2. Restrict exercise on warm days.

3. Pack a water bottle on walks.

4. Ensure pets always have drinking water available.

5. Ensure pets are regularly groomed if this is advised for their breed.
