Jersey was brought in on the evening of February 7 due to complications in labor, known as dystocia. ๐ƒ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐œ๐ข๐š is frequently seen in small animals and can arise from various factors. When a fur mom is unable to deliver her puppies, it poses a risk not only to her health but also to that of the puppies. Fur moms experiencing dystocia require immediate attention from a veterinary clinic.

Fortunately, we are ๐จ๐ฉ๐ž๐ง ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’/๐Ÿ•, and Jersey's owners promptly sought assistance and brought her to our facility. She had a cesarean section, and our dedicated staff successfully saved both Jersey and her four puppies.

Afterbirth, it is important for puppies to breastfeed from their mothers to get nutrition and immunity against diseases. Since Jersey was still under monitoring after her surgery, and we recognize the importance of breastfeeding, our experienced staff gave milking assistance to the puppies.

๐ŸพMeet Kammi, an adorable 4-year-old shih tzu who was diagnosed with uterine infection or what we call PYOMETRA. Pyometra is a bacterial infection of the uterus (womb), which can be brought by hormonal changes in the female reproductive system or ascending infection originating from the va**na. Leading to accumulation of pus in the womb.

Kammi, being a brave little girl who hid her pain and discomfort too well, and probably because of the rapid progression of the disease, exhibited no signs until her womb was filled with pus and blood. The pus eventually leaked through her va**na, causing discomfort and struggle. Her undiagnosed condition eventually made her inactive, disinterested in eating, and unwell. Through physical exam and laboratory test, we diagnosed her with pyometra. We were dedicated to help Kammi, so we clarified that the most effective approach was to perform a surgery and remove her pus-filled-womb. This will prevent the womb from rupturing due to excessive build-up of pus within, which might eventually lead to the infection to spread all throughout her body.

Her loving and devoted owners did not hesitate and decided to start the treatment right away to save their much cherish fur baby!
