Ito si Cloud isang 5 year old husky na dinala sa clinic dito sa Victoria. Sya ay matamlay, sobrang payat at may mga sugat sa balat na hindi gumagaling.
Minarapat na sya ay kolektahan ng blood sample para maproseso sa laboratoryo. Ginawan sya ng 4DX SNAP Test (Isang rapid test kit na nagchecheck kung may blood parasite ang ating alagang a*o), Complete blood count at Blood chem analysis. Dito napag alaman na sya ay may chronic severe canine heartworm disease.
Mataas na bacterial infection at mayroon din syang anemia.
Sa ngayon ay kasalukuyan syang umiinom ng mga gamot laban sa blood parasitism at naka schedule na sya para maturukan ng anti-heartworm medication pagkalipas ng isang buwan. sana ay gumaling sya.
Ang Heartworm nga pala ay isang klase ng bulate na naisasalin sa dugo ng mga alaga nating a*o dahil sa kagat ng lamok. Maiiwasan ito sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng heartworm preventives as early as 6months of age. at gagawin ito kada buwan.
Ipagdasal natin si Cloud, sana magpatuloy ang paglakas nya.
Sa kanyang pet parent, salamat po sa pagpapagamot sakanya. Sana ay magkaroon sya ng pag asa.
