We’re excited to invite you to a special event for World Rabies Day! On September 28, 2024, join us at 6:00 AM for a Dog Walk at the Kabang Monument, St. Francis Circle, Pasonanca. This year’s theme is “𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬,” and we need your help to spread the word about keeping our pets safe from rabies.

‼️Canine Distemper Virus Alert!

CANINE DISTEMPER VIRUS INFECTION SURGE

Attention all dog owners in Zamboanga City! We have observed a surge in canine distemper virus infection among dogs in our city. It is important that every dog owner is well-informed about this deadly viral infection. Most of the patients that were diagnosed in our clinic were unvaccinated dogs, puppies with incomplete vaccination, and adult dogs that missed the annual booster shot.

The common symptoms of Canine Distemper Virus Infection include the following:
• High fever
• Sneezing and coughing
• Runny nose and eyes
• Loss of appetite
• Vomiting and diarrhea
• Lethargy and weakness
• Seizures and muscle twitching
• Thickening of the paw pads and nose

Canine distemper can have severe consequences and can can lead to:
• Death: Sadly, in severe cases, the disease can be fatal.
• Irreversible Neurological Damage: The virus can attack the nervous system, causing permanent damage to the brain and spinal cord.
