Doc Roma will be out on August 20–22, 2026 to attend the 31st PAHA Annual Conference.

The conference focuses on enhancing clinical competence through lifelong learning in companion animal care, an opportunity to continue learning and bring new knowledge back to our patients. 🐶📚

Our clinic will be OPEN for GROOMING and PET SUPPLIES ONLY during these dates.

‼️CANINE DEMODECOSIS‼️

🐶 Demodecosis is a skin condition caused by an overgrowth of microscopic Demodex mites that normally live in a dog’s hair follicles.

🔍 Signs may include:
• Hair loss
• Red or irritated skin
• Scratching
• Scabs, wounds, or skin lesions
• Secondary bacterial infection

🔬 Diagnosis: Skin scraping and microscopic examination.

💊 Treatment: Requires appropriate anti-mite treatment and management of any secondary skin infection.

🐾 Good to know: Canine demodecosis is generally not contagious to other dogs or people.

❤️ Early diagnosis and proper treatment can help your pet get back to healthy skin.
