In lovebirds Selective breeding can produce unique and beautiful mutations, like blue opaline Palefallow and Parblue opaline Palefallow lovebirds. In this video, we'll discuss the genetics behind these color mutations and give you tips on how to breed these lovebirds successfully. Parblue Opaline Palefallow can be produced from parents having blue, Parblue ,Opaline and Palefallow genes. For Offspring's to be Parblue Opaline Palefallow , one of the parents must have Parblue gene while other can have blue or Parblue gene. Similarly both parents must carry Palefallow gene as it is a recessive mutation which means that a bird must inherit two copies of the recessive gene, one from each parent, to exhibit the trait associated with that gene. Similarly both parents or male must carry Opaline gene as it is a sexlinked mutation, only pairing of female opaline with simple birds will just produce split opaline males and simple females. Pale fallow have a high eumelanin reduction in the eyes and the plumage which causes the color of Parblue opaline bird to reduce and the color of the bird eye is bright red. In this video pairings for the production of Parblue opaline Palefallow and blue opaline Palefallow and its results are shared.
