This white Persian kitten, barely 7-8 months old, was abandoned in a terrible state. Sick and neglected, he was left at our doorstep instead of being taken to a vet. We discovered he had advanced calicivirus. For 3-4 days, we fought tirelessly to save him, but last night, he passed away.
We are heartbroken, but we are also angry. This is the result of incessant breeding and selling animals like commodities—treated as decorations when healthy and abandoned at the first sign of illness.
Animals are not objects. They are living, feeling beings who deserve care, not betrayal. This cruel practice of treating them as disposable has to stop.
Let’s fight for change. Support ethical adoption. Speak out against breeding mills. And help us give these animals the love and care they deserve.

Debbie, the little donkey we rescued, has stolen all of our hearts. Sadly, she’s quite weak and anemic, but we’re doing everything we can to help her grow stronger. One of the newest additions to her diet is camel milk, given to her daily to support her recovery.
Why camel milk, you ask? It’s a powerhouse of nutrients, making it an incredible option for malnourished or anemic young animals—and even humans! Here are some benefits:
✅ Rich in Nutrients: Camel milk is packed with essential vitamins like Vitamin C and B, along with minerals like iron, calcium, and magnesium, which help combat anemia and boost overall health.
✅ Easily Digestible: It’s gentle on the stomach, making it ideal for young or weak animals like Debbie who need easily absorbed nutrients.
✅ Boosts Immunity: Camel milk is known for its immune-boosting properties, helping fragile animals build resilience against infections.
✅ Energy-Rich: The natural proteins and fats in camel milk provide sustained energy, helping malnourished animals regain strength.
For humans, camel milk offers similar benefits—it’s a fantastic source of nutrition for those dealing with anemia or malnourishment. Its unique composition is often used in traditional medicine for boosting energy and healing the gut.
With your love and support, Debbie is on her way to a brighter, healthier future. Please keep her in your thoughts as she continues her recovery journey!

Today we had some visitors come to the shelter to hang out with us and meet our animals. It was super chilled out and wholesome fun and the animals, especially Cammie and the donkeys just loved the carrots we took as a treat for them.
If you visit the shelter, bring some carrots and apples and watch them go nuts!
Carrots make an excellent treat for camels! Here are a few points to consider when feeding carrots to camels:
1.Nutritional Benefits: Carrots are rich in vitamins A and C, as well as fiber and water content, which can support your camels’ overall health. They make a hydrating and low-calorie snack.
2. Feeding Tips:
•Wash the carrots thoroughly to remove dirt and potential pesticides.
•Chop them into smaller, bite-sized pieces to avoid choking, especially if your camel tends to gulp treats. However Cammie took the whole carrot and crunched it like a lady
3. Moderation is Key: While camels can eat carrots, treats should not replace their regular diet of forage and hay. Too many carrots can upset their stomach or cause weight gain. Limit the quantity to a handful of pieces a day.
4. Interactive Feeding: Use carrots as part of bonding or training exercises to build trust and encourage positive behaviors.
Most precious little baby ever Mashallah 💙
We loved having our loyal supporters at today’s Open House and wished more people visited our shelter to witness the magic of our rescues ! 🩷
We wanted to thank everyone who has been supporting us and continues to support us to save our shelter. We aren’t out of danger yet but we are hopeful with the amazing response so many of you give and the animals you’re continuing to sponsor. This kind of support is a blessing and Alhamdulillah we couldn’t do anything without you guys.
We also are trying to fundraise by getting these Cammie necklaces if anyone wants to order, the entire proceeds of the necklace will go directly to our animals. Each Necklace with the Camel pendant is Rs 5,000 - excellent quality imported and it’ll be a way for you to keep Cammie close to your heart always.
Please keep your support coming and help us survive and keep our doors open ❤️🙏
Our landlord is getting the basics done for us and then we will need your help to make it the coziest colorful puppy and abandoned small dog area. Come visit and share ideas, bring things like soft bedding, cages, paint or whatever you can think of and let’s make this come to life 🙏

Meet Phoebe: Another Fighter Who Needs Your Help
Another heartbreaking rescue, another brave soul fighting for her life. Meet Phoebe, a sweet female dog we recently rescued with a massive tumor.
Just like Victoria, who underwent successful treatment at Healthy Tails, Phoebe now needs your support to get the same life-saving care.
For Victoria, her 3 chemotherapy treatments, 3-week boarding, and checkups totaled Rs. 68,000—a cost we managed only with your generosity. Now, Phoebe is at the same crossroads, and we cannot give her the chance she deserves without your help.
Phoebe’s treatment will include:
• Chemotherapy sessions
• Monitoring and follow-ups at Healthy Tails
• A safe, comfortable boarding environment during her care
Every rupee you contribute goes directly to giving Phoebe a chance to fight this tumor and live the life she deserves.
📢 Please donate today to help Phoebe: www.cdrsworld.org/donate
Together, we saved Victoria. Now, let’s do the same for Phoebe. She deserves to know what it’s like to live without pain and fear.
Thank you for standing by these innocent souls and giving them a second chance at life.
