To the True Definition of Resilience: , Gaza

This past year has been one of the hardest we’ve ever faced. We’ve cried through sleepless nights, fought to keep our doors open, and at times felt completely helpless—unsure if we could carry on. But in those darkest moments, we looked toward Gaza. We looked toward them.

Sulala Animal Rescue—Gaza’s only animal rescue—has become the truest example of what resilience looks like. Amid devastation, destruction, and unspeakable suffering, they continue to feed, care for, and protect animals with tenderness and courage. While the world crumbles around them, they choose compassion.

And somehow, their strength gave us strength. Their unwavering commitment reminded us why we do what we do. Because if they can keep going, surrounded by rubble and heartbreak, then we have no excuse not to push forward.

So today, we want to say: thank you, Sulala. You inspire us. You remind us that kindness survives even in the darkest places.
