Heatstroke in pets can be deadly β and it happens fast.
Every summer, we see cases that couldβve been prevented with just a little awareness.
Hereβs what you need to know:
Prevention:
β Always provide shade and cool water
β Keep pets indoors during peak heat
β Never leave them in a parked car
β Use fans, cooling mats, or damp towels
Signs of heatstroke:
β Heavy panting or drooling
β Weakness or collapse
β Red gums or tongue
β Vomiting or diarrhea
β Fast heartbeat or confusion
What to do:
β Move your pet to a cool, shaded spot
β Pour cool (not cold) water on their body β especially belly and paws
β Use a fan or AC
β Offer small sips of water
β And get them to a vet immediately
