**𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 🪱 𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗡𝗔𝗥𝗖-𝗚𝟭 𝗬𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱**

The use of vermi-compost to increase the yield and quality of garlic is a well researched topic. From multiple peer reviewed research papers on the topic it can be concluded that using vermi-compost may increase the marketable yield of garlic by 15-25%.

An increase of 25% in NARC-G1 yield over a normal yield of 12,000 kg/acre would equal 3000 Kg of additional yield.

Next year this additional yield is projected to translate to an additional revenue of 3000 Kg x Rs 800/Kg = 24 Lacs rupees.

Etihad Farms therefore recommends its farmers to use vermi-compost at the rate of 2 tonnes/acre, in addition to Farm Yard Manure (Cow Manure) which is to be used at the rate of 10 Tonnes per acre.

Vermi-compost should be applied just prior to final land preparation before creating beds. Farm Yard Manure should be applied at least 2 months prior to the final land preparation.

Alhamdulillah NARC G1 garlic crop has crossed 208 days and is heading towards maturity quickly. The last application of protective fungides was applied through drip irrigation today keeping in mind the rainy spell in the coming days.

The Crop is uniform overall and very large sized cloves and bulbs have been observed.

The crop will be harvested in the second week of May inshaAllah. All our customers who have booked fresh seed from us are requested to make arrangements for seed storage and remaining payments.

You will be informed three days prior to harvest.

Alhamdulillah, our G1 crop At Etihad Farms Lahore is heading towards maturity quickly. Leaves have started turning partially yellow and harvesting is expected in the first week of May inshaAllah.

Fresh seed is available on booking at 2200/kg till eid. After eid dry seed would be available on booking at 7500/kg.

Garlic scapes (flower stalk) have started forming in our NARC G1 Garlic field. This indicates the start of the last stage of garlic development i-e the bulb initiation and bulking stage.

Potassium and Boron are key elements that should be provided in abundance for good sized bulb formation. We are providing potassium in the form of SOP and boron in the form of foliar sprays.
