That means your dog doesn't have to bend their head down to the floor when they want a bite of food or a drink of water. Having their food elevated puts less strain on their neck, hips, shoulders, and joints. The easiest way to develop an excellent body posture for your growing pup (show dogs mostly).
This is beneficial for dogs with orthopedic conditions, joint disorders, spinal conditions, arthritis, or for senior dogs with limited mobility. For some dogs, elevated feeders prevent them from making as big of a mess during feeding as with a floor-level dish.
You can order these elevated stands as per your dog's height. Here's how you can get the correct measurement before placing an order:
Determine the correct position for your dog's food bowl by measuring your standing dog from the floor under the front paws to the top of the shoulders and then subtract about 5 inches. Your dog should be able to eat without lowering their neck or stretching upwards.

Earlier today another successful surgery was performed by our veterinarians. We were able to save the dam and the puppies.
A cesarean section, or C-section, is major surgery performed to remove puppies from the uterus. This is most commonly performed as an emergency procedure when there is difficulty with natural birth.
The overall risk of this surgery is low. The major risks are those of general anesthesia, bleeding (hemorrhage), postoperative infection, and wound breakdown (dehiscence) over the incision. The overall complication rate is low, but serious complications can result in the anesthetic death of the mother or puppies.
At our practice, we frequently schedule c-sections 62 days after ovulation so you don't end up in the middle of the night at your local emergency clinic. In most cases, 63 days from ovulation is within 24 hours of her ideal due date
Your dog may need a scheduled c-section if: There is only one puppy - may not produce enough cortisol to induce labor in the mother. Puppies are very large. Your dog suffers from any underlying health conditions.

Yesterday around 2 at night we were called for immediate help. The caller told us that his rottweiler had a fight with another dog and she ended up having her ear torn apart. He further stated that the wound didn't look bad a week back but now it's getting worse and seems to be infected. We immediately got into our car with all the required medical equipment & rushed toward where the dog was. It took us more than an hour to be there as it was way far from where we had our animal clinic.
Once we got there we noticed that the wound was rotten & infected badly! The severe infection made her ear rot! There were dead tissues hanging along her ear lobes! The infected area made the blood circulation die due to which the skin got worse and all the supporting muscles & skin were dead by then. We weren't able to stitch her damaged ear! There was no skin left to stitch it along.
After disinfecting & cleaning her ear we decided to cut off the infected & dead area (that was the only thing we could do at that time as there was no other way to get it cured). This brave little girl made it through the painful process patiently!
This adorable girl is doing fine now. She is on anti-inflammatories & antibiotics for a speedy recovery!
To all of our pet community out there - DON'T DELAY THE BASIC MEDICATIONS & PROCESSES WHENEVER YOUR PET HAS AN INJURY! The delay & negligence can result in a much worse situation with serious consequences. Whenever you see a wound get it cleaned and treated immediately like you do it for yourself to avoid any more pain and suffering for the animal.
