The honourable adviser to CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Climate Change, Forestry, Environment and Wildlife Department visited the iconic ex-situ Conservation Facility-The PeshawarZoo- on 18th December where he was briefed about various components of the Zoo through a presentation which was also attended by the Chief Conservator Wildlife KP. Later on a detailed visit was conducted in the zoo and visited different animal enclosures and public service delivery intervention. The worthy guest appreciated efforts of the zoo staff for upkeep of the mega conservation facility of the province. They also issued instructions on site for enhanced exposure.

Study visit of the students of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree program. The students were accompanied by the class teacher, Dr Ibadulllah Jan, Assistant Professor, College of Veterinary Sciences, The University of Agriculture Peshawar.
They were briefed by the Zoo staff, Dr Abdul Qadir (Veterinary Officer) and Mr. Najeeb Ullah (Education Officer) about the zoo, zoo animal management, its husbandry, and Veterinary care. Later on, they were given a cage visit where they learned a lot about the zoo animals. The session was very informative and the students took keen interest by asking different questions regarding the zoo animals keeping practices and its adaptation with the Peshawar environment. The students and their teacher thanked the zoo management for their dedication, commitment, and hard work by keeping the zoo a place of learning, entertainment, research, and conservation.
Finally, the zoo staff presented a souvenir to Dr Ibadulllah Jan as a gift from zoo management.

Mugger crocodiles have been documented using lures to hunt birds. This means they are among the first reptiles recorded to use tools. By balancing sticks and branches on their heads, they lure birds that are looking for nesting material. This strategy is particularly effective during the nesting season.

Today, Various cadre Officers/officials from the Wildlife Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa gathered to honor the exceptional services of Dr. Syed Fazal Baqi Kakakhel (Conservator of Wildlife, Northern Circle) and Mr. Rahamdad (Superintendent) on the occasion of their retirement. The event also celebrated Miss Haseena Ambreen's recent appointment as Deputy Inspector General of Forest. The gathering featured heartfelt tributes from the Chief Conservator of Wildlife, Conservators, DFOs and colleagues, who reflected on their remarkable contributions and unwavering commitment to the Wildlife Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, inspiring many throughout their careers.
