How is LUCKY PEARL already 18 days old. Growing so much. Already 100.5kg. Gaining over 40 kg since birth
Today is National Horse Day in Poland. So time to introduce the newest member. This is Lucky Pearl. She was born 28 April.
Mother is Chance
Father is Ballagh Cloud
I've done some sneak peaks of her on my stories.
Day 1 she was in not so good way. Heavy breathing, and racing heart rate. We thought maybe the mothers colostrum wasn't good. Unfortunately Pearl would not drink extra from a bottle. After some medicine from Kamila from Megavet Pearl was a lot better that evening.
Day 2 better again. Weighed her and already 63.5kg. Checked again by Kamila, she agree that the condition improve, but we should still continue antibiotics still due to the signs of infection. But no drip needed, this day, so that's a plus.
Today Pearl is stronger again. And now 65.5 kg. So 2 kg gained in less than 24hrs.
Still need to monitor and phone the vet if her condition worsens. But feeling a lot more optimistic
She is most likely Bay Pearl Tobiano Sabino.
Thanks for from
For a lot of calls to keep my nerves down. for coming and helping try give extra colostrum. for being ready and prepared to drive around 8 hours to collect plasma (luckily this drive wasn't needed).
Father Simba (now castrated) and his first and only daughter Kiara
Dolly on her way to Bydgoscz to finish her training for small riders. The plan is that she will be on loan for two breeding seasons, then we will decide what we will do next with her. Her foals will be available.

Chance arrived in August 2020. I brought her from Stephen McCartney. At the time, all his sale horses were sold, but he offered me Chance if I was interested. He was honest about how she was. So I knew I wasn't expecting the typical tinker character. I was told she was ridden as a young horse, but then used as a broodmare.
Now she is still a bit more sensitive than the usual cobs, but now trusts people that are quiet around her, but to those that also respect her space if she's not in a particularly affectionate mood.
With the help of .denechere I thought we can get her back lightly in the saddle. Either to let her be used in the riding school next year, or if I choose to sell her next year, this should make her a much easier horse for potential buyers.

Teach your horse to spin, just using a rope (and of course treats.
1)Place the rope around your horses quarters. Point the way you want him to do and use the rope to help encourage his head around
2)When step one doesn't need a lot of rope pressure, then have the rope behind the wither, so it's still there to help. Here you can start to do an action with your 'spare' hand to encourage him to move away from you in the desired direction.
3) Have the rope completely rested on the horse. If he struggles to bring his head completely to you, you can easily reach for the rope to help finish the spin.
Treats after each sping is encouraged by your horse ;)
I will also make tutorial how to teach spin without the use of rope (using hand touch target). Then you are able to combine both methods for best result
Looking to buy a horse ? How much do they cost?
I want a good trained healthy horse, budget 10,000zloty.
***This is an unrealistic price for breeders/dealers/private owners to be able to sell their horses for (some circumstances mean they may need a fast sale, and prices may be lower for this reason)
1st you need a mare (for this let's assume a breeding mare is already in your possession)
2nd, a stallion to breed with. The general price for this seems to be 1000zloty
3rd, basic care of mare (veterinary fees, stabling costs farrier costs feed and hay costs) for 11 months of pregnancy
4th, the horse is born (let's hope with no complications)
5th, +/- 6 months of basic care of mare and foal.
6th, foal is now separated from mum. Now we have from 6 months old to 4 years old of basic care fees for a young horse. During this time a lot can happen (lameness, colic ect). We can do some basic playing and groundwork with the horse at this time
7th, it's now time to train the horse. Basic care fees plus training fees.
8th, the horse needs more experience to be sold as safe and good for children, recreation, sport, hippotherapy, more basic care fees.
9th, the horse is now ready to be sold to the new owner. Basic care fees still newing paid until sold
The total costs through conception to ready riding horse will vary greatly (mainly depending if you have your own stable or keeping the horse on livery/pension somewhere) . But with both options, there isn't really a lot of profit for the sellers to be made from point one to point 8. So please remember when looking for horses fir sale on a budget, what that horse has already cost someone else. Of course a younger one will be cheaper option. But then you also need to pay yourself for the care costs and training.
Search the different sale sites to see the typical/average price for what you are looking for.
A higher than average price could mean:
- an amazing horse
- or a seller that is reluctant to sell, so only available for higher price
- or someone hoping you think the horse is amazing, and horse is just too over priced
A lower than average price could mean:
- scammer
-horse has some form of health problem that will cost the buyer more money
- the owner has personal problems that require a fast sale of the horse
Something to think about
DOLLY is so fluffy and hairy
showsheen to keep her mane in order
Sleigh time. My bums a tad oversized to fit the small sleigh, so but uncomfortable. But ofcourse Bally is a good boy

Bottle fed foal Kiara is now 113 days old and 99.5 kg. She now drinks around 15 litres of milk each day. She still prefers the company of people. She still has Starstruck as an adopted sister, and now also shares a paddock with Chance and her foal Pearl. #stallion #irishcob #cob #ogier #tinker #horse #horses #horsesofinstagram #equestrian #horseriding #equine #pony #pferd #equestrianlife #horselove #dressage #horselover #instahorse #love #showjumping #horselife #photography #nature #pferde #horseofinstagram #riding #koń #horsepower #horsephotography #instagram
LUCKY PEARL first day with halter. Of course, she was super easy to put it on. We then worked on applying pressure to her left and right side. Pearl very quickly understood the assignment, and turned her head to the correct way and/or moved her front legs so that she would face me. Very clever foal for first time. #stallion #irishcob #cob #ogier #tinker #horse #horses #horsesofinstagram #equestrian #horseriding #equine #pony #pferd #equestrianlife #horselove #dressage #horselover #instahorse #love #showjumping #horselife #photography #nature #pferde #horseofinstagram #riding #koń #horsepower #horsephotography #instagram
Today is 9 years since I moved to Poland. Which is a nice excuse to share another video of my beautiful stallion Ballagh Cloud This is one of my favourite days. A lot of emotions, stress and excitement. In the end it was worth it. Making more and stronger connections with different people. And of course extremely proud of Ballagh Cloud. 📸 @przemyslawkarczmarski 🇵🇱 @ossanto_gypsyhorses #stallion #irishcob #cob #ogier #tinker #horse #horses #horsesofinstagram #equestrian #horseriding #equine #pony #pferd #equestrianlife #horselove #dressage #horselover #instahorse #love #showjumping #horselife #photography #nature #pferde #horseofinstagram #riding #koń #horsepower #horsephotography #instagram
Kiara is doing very well. She will be 2 months old in 4 days and she's now 71.5kg. That's 31.5kg gain since birth. Starstruck is continuing to be a good Foster sister. She mostly let's Kiara carry on with her crazy antics, but will correct her if she gets too annoying #stallion #irishcob #cob #ogier #tinker #horse #gypsy #horsesofinstagram #equestrian #horseriding #equine #pony #pferd #gypsycob #gypsyhorse #dressage #horse #gypsyvanner #instahorse #love #showjumping #horselife #photography #nature #pferde #horseofinstagram #riding #koń #horsepower #horsephotography #instagram
Midnight Most of the time Kiara is fine with just drinking milk. However, usually in the very late and very early hours, she likes to have a small drink, then some exercise then finish her drink. She is at the stage where its ok to go longer hours without milk at nighttime if she drinks enough. She usually does a big headshake when she has finished drinking. So if she doesn't do this...... PLAYTIME. #stallion #irishcob #cob #ogier #tinker #horse #gypsy #horsesofinstagram #equestrian #horseriding #equine #pony #pferd #gypsycob #gypsyhorse #dressage #horse #gypsyvanner #instahorse #love #showjumping #horselife #photography #nature #pferde #horseofinstagram #riding #koń #horsepower #horsephotography #instagram
Kiara is now 2 weeks old. 3 year old Starstruck (who lost her mum as a foal in a freak accident) so far seems like a nice companion for Kiara. They are not yet friends. But they can be trusted to be together unsupervised in the biggest stable we have. Hopefully, soon Kiara will start to learn more horsey behaviours from Star. Star only pulls faces towards Kiara when she tries to unsuccessfully drink from her #stallion #irishcob #cob #ogier #tinker #horse #gypsy #horsesofinstagram #equestrian #horseriding #equine #pony #pferd #gypsycob #gypsyhorse #dressage #horse #gypsyvanner #instahorse #love #showjumping #horselife #photography #nature #pferde #horseofinstagram #riding #koń #horsepower #horsephotography #instagram

'It's okay, because he's a stallion' Stallions should be able to 'work' and behave as any other horse. They compete stallions with mares and geldings. That doesn't mean everyone/anyone should own a stallion. They should be able to act as a 'normal' horse, but it is the owners responsibility to ensure they give their stallions the best chance. This includes training (including basic ground handling) and suitable housing for that stallion. This video has stallions SALVADOR (black) and BALLAGH CLOUD (white) with gelding DALTON (tobiano). We are lucky at JASKOLKA that we have the ground to have a stallion field separate from the mares/geldings. This ensures that the stallions can live as 'natural' as possible. They teach each other things (such as respect) and this in turn keeps their brains and bodies satisfied. The stallion field is always a minimum distance away from the other horses. This is to stop the potential of the more mature stallions smelling a mare in heat, and maybe becoming defensive. Of course they are stallions, which can be more reactive due to hormones, so people should be more aware when handling them. But with good basic training, they should be able to live a happy life. If a stallion is not easy enough to handle, and showing signs of becoming dangerous (especially towards humans), its time to decide if he deserves to keep his balls. A very important trait in this breed is the easy character. So give your stallions the best chance. And work with them at a young age, to help give them a better future. #stallion #irishcob #cob #ogier #tinker #horse #gypsy #horsesofinstagram #equestrian #horseriding #equine #pony #pferd #gypsycob #gypsyhorse #dressage #horse #gypsyvanner #instahorse #love #showjumping #horselife #photography #nature #pferde #horseofinstagram #riding #koń #horsepower #horsephotography #instagram

Another day of cow hunting. Unfortunately the new owners of our cows were not able to get near to any of the cows. So ask us to come and help again. 1st problem was to get Candy Cow. The cow that shared her temporary field that we caught the other day was still stressed. It took around 90 minutes to be able to get Candy Cow. The other cow was threatening to charge, and was even headbutting Candy when I got near her. So I had to be extremely careful. The farmers had good idea to block some of the way with hay bales. This enables us to luckily separate Candy from the stressed cow, then it was very easy for me to get Candy. Next was putting Candy on the trailer again, and going to the cornfield (which was now cut) where 2 of the cows were last time. A short work to a tiny forest with Candy and the 2 cows came out and followed us back to a nearby stable. The previous day we put out temporary fencing to help the cows go to a small paddock. The cows followed Candy to this paddock perfectly. Next problem was their 900kilo coldblood stallion jumped a 2m fence to get away from the cows. We managed to get the cows into stables, and the owner of the stallion came to catch him. The 2 cows, plus Candy were then loaded onto the lorry to take to the cow house... SUCCESS Now was to take the lorry to the stress cow. We used the haybales from this morning to help us, and eventually managed to get the stress cow to follow Candy onto the lorry. Now 3 cows in the cow house 💪 During this time, another cow farmer used his drone to locate Donna. She was found in the same forest she was last time, but a bit different location. Unfortunately she already heard me and Candy walking when we were 100m away from her, so she ran away quickly. We tried for around 90 minutes to see if we could get near her (or even find her). But we could not manage, and then it was dark. So unfortunately for now she stays in the forest. The local hunters and people with drones will try to sedate her with a pis

Day 3 of teaching my stallion BALLAGH CLOUD to rear ** This is my first time doing this. I have been reading different ways to teach the rear from the ground. So it's both me and Bally learning at the same time. I am using a whip, but I do not use it to hit him during this time. I continued to ask for the rear in the same way as Day 2. Bally was more anticipating me asking for the rear this time. So I needed to be extra clear with my body when I wanted a rear, and when I wanted him to turn him in to change direction. A few times he reared without me cueing it. This was mainly when I ask for the canter. So probably it was miscommunication from my whip arm. I alternate asking for rear, changing direction, and walk, trot, canter after the rear or change direction. This makes me more focused on what my body is doing, and therefore making it more clear for Bally. But very pleased with this session. I haven't done and rear training since this session around 2.5 weeks ago. #stallion #irishcob #cob #ogier #tinker #horse #gypsy #horsesofinstagram #equestrian #horseriding #equine #pony #pferd #gypsycob #gypsyhorse #dressage #horse #gypsyvanner #instahorse #love #showjumping #horselife #photography #nature #pferde #horseofinstagram #riding #koń #horsepower #horsephotography #instagram
