We are super excited for this adoption! We truly believe, that pups end up with, who they are meant for. Such the case with Julio 🫶🏼.
We flew Julio to Michigan a few weeks ago. He was picked up and fostered by Rachel. She quickly fell in love with him, but had to let him go, because a foster to adopt was waiting. Long story, short - the adoption didn’t work out and Rachel was next in line. She immediately drove to get Julio back in her arms and the rest is history. We know for a fact, these two were meant to be together. We are so honored to have Rachel as an adopter 🥹.

Chewy was ADOPTED!!!
We are celebrating huge over here!
Poor Chewy was rescued almost three months ago, then flown to Philly and was in foster, this entire time. We could NOT get him adopted - not even an application for him 😔. The black pup thing is REAL. All of Chewy’s siblings were adopted months ago - he was just waiting in limbo.

Luck for us, we sent him to one of our previous adopters and one of our main fosters, in the Philly area. Hats off to Amy - she was the one who ended up getting Chewy ADOPTED!!!
Amy and family drove for PA ➡️ Virginia ➡️ slept overnight and continued their drive the following day to ➡️ Georgia. Her dad drove from FL ➡️ Georgia, to meet them. He met Chewy and fell in love. I mean, can you believe the lengths people go for our pups? We are in awe! We are so very humbled 🥹.
A million thank yous to Amy.
She took the greatest care of Chewy this entire time and now placed him, in the best home. She gets to see him again and of course, he will continue to be in her life. We are so thankful to this amazing, incredible lady!!

Happy Monday!
Of course we had a few ADOPTIONS happen over the weekend 🤗. First one was IVAN!!!
Ivan was in a foster home and we were promoting him for adoption last week. The foster family, of course fell in love and realized they couldn’t let him go. Even their personal dog was obsessed with Ivan ⬅️. The family has already taken Ivan to the vet and bought him a collar with a name tag - we should have known he wasn’t go anywhere 😉. This is a dream home for Ivan and we are so happy he doesn’t have to move.
It’s official - HE IS ADOPTED!!
A huge thank you to ➡️➡️ Anna and husband, for giving him the best home. We are so excited for him to live his happiest life!

✨SAVE A SOUL SATURDAY✨
We are officially on pause with any new rescue cases, until we catch up. Our rescue doesn’t just take on puppies, that are easy to adopt, we are constantly saving the adults too (they are our favorite ❤️ ). Every time we take on an adult, we know the price is going to “usually” be expensive. We rarely get foster offers for adults, which means, we take on boarding costs. We also know the flight ✈️ , to get the adults off the island, is usually around $500-$600 each. An adult dog can be thousands of dollars. Well, we recently saved FOUR adults, all back to back and we were hit with the news we dreaded - they are ALL heartworm positive 😖. Just to treat that alone, starts at $500-$600 dollar. We are forced to be put on pause, until we catch up financially. This rescue stuff is very expensive!
With that being said, first, if anyone owes us an adoption fee - please get it PAID. Your adoption fee goes directly into saving another life. We can’t waive or lower these - our dogs rely on them!!
Second, every donation today, will go towards one of these adults. They all need to start treatment immediately, but we can’t do that, without the funds. Once they start the treatment, they are in boarding for 20-30 days to he monitored - another high cost we incur.
Donations keep Souls of Satos alive.
It’s never ending and the dogs just keep coming and coming. We are really starting to come to the realization - it will never get better. Breaks our hearts, but that’s the reality here.

Side note - Riley the adult dog, did you know, that was who Rita was found with? We saved Rita first- she was in dire need, but a few weeks later, we went back for Riley. We had zero room to take her on, but we couldn’t leave her. Next post will be featuring her. Another sad story, but a very lucky dog. She is SAVED!

She is 3 months old, 8 lbs, loves other dogs, super cute and deserves the very best home. We can get her to any surrounding states, only if it’s a good/forever home though. We want only the best, for our pups 🫶🏼.

JoJo is ADOPTED!!
He flew out and went straight into a forever home - a very good one at that 🥰. He now has a house full of humans and a few fur siblings ➡️➡️ (a must ). We know without a doubt, this is the exact home, JoJo needed. He will live the very best life!

▪️Side note - We are firm believers, that pups end up with, exactly, who they are supposed to be with. Dogs have a way of finding THEIR person. ⬅️ to see what the flight volunteer had to say, when she found out Jojo, was who she was flying. Coincidence? Or just maybe, there was some beautiful energy/stars, helping JoJo along the way 🫶🏼.

Almost every one of Lucy’s pups, went into a direct home. That’s incredible! Looks like we have a huge network of people, that love our sato pups. As long as you love them, we will keep rescuing 🥹.
A huge thank you to Elizabeth, for picking ZoZo up from the airport, a few days ago, at midnight. Once our pups land stateside, we need extra help. Thank you to everyone, who goes the extra mile, for our pups. We couldn’t rescue at this level, without it. Elizabeth is also officially, adopting ZoZo. She is in the most kindest, most loving hands. It’s time for her to live a long and beautiful life. We are absolutely thrilled for her!!

Sneaking in a few more ADOPTION posts 🫶🏼.
Bobo, another one of Mama Lucy’s pups, was flown stateside and went directly into a foster to adopt. These are our favorite, because most of the time, they turn into adoptions. Our pups are irresistible 🥰!
A huge thank you to everyone that was a part of Bobo’s journey, here in Puerto Rico and stateside. We needed lots of help with Bobo and his siblings (considering there were NINE of them 🙃) and we got it! We truly appreciate every offer of help, we receive! Thank you to all our volunteers!
An extra special thank you to ➡️➡️ Kelly and husband, for picking up Bobo and giving him a chance to join, your beautiful family. He is already loved and settling in nicely - our hearts are happy ⬅️.

Mama Lucy 💜
It’s hard to believe, we rescued her, over two months ago. The time went fast, but maybe that’s because, we had her and all NINE puppies, at our home and the days/time started to just blend together 🫠. We are happy to announce though, that it’s Lucy’s turn, to get off the island. Her flight is tomorrow and she is ready to go! Yayy!!!!
Lucy will be headed to area, where a foster is waiting. We have no solid leads on a direct home for her, but getting Lucy into foster, is a must. We don’t want Lucy having to go into boarding. We will promote her extra and we know a home, is out there.
Lucy will be up for ADOPTION in all surrounding areas of Philly, boston, CT, NJ, NY. We will find drivers if needed. The most important thing is, the right home is found. She is 2/3 years old, super smart, knows sit, shake and circles, great on a leash, great on car rides, loves to snuggle, loves belly rubs, gentle with kiddos, gives kisses/nibbles to the ear - and is VERY affectionate and loyal. She will be your BFF 🫶🏼.
Please share/spread the word, that she needs a forever home. She is such a deserving soul - lived on the streets after being dumped, kept herself alive, gave birth to NINE puppies - the ultimate survivor/fighter. She deserves this second chance!

Last call on Ivan.
If we can’t find him a home, we are joining with a rescue partner, to sign on and help. He needs a home! We hate that the black pup thing, is REAL. They are much harder to get adopted, it’s just a fact. Ivan is so sweet and deserves a chance, just like any other pup.

We have been posting, tons of adoption posts, but figured it’s now time to post some of our dogs, that are still in need of a home.
First one up is this handsome boy 👆🏻.
Peter is a STUD!
He is 7/8 years old/young, long body, short legs, sausage body, darling ears, 28 lbs, great with other dogs and has the sweetest, most laid back way, about him. He is another DREAM DOG!
Peter was fully vetted, neutered and just started his heartworm treatment. We are beginning to get his face out there, because once he is cleared by our vet, we want to fly him out and avoid him going into boarding. We are on a mission to find Peter a HOME!

JuJu and GiGi also flew off the island, landed in and went straight into foster homes. A huge thank you to Bryanna for doubling up on this one. With NINE puppies, we do needed the help 🫠.
We can’t wait to see these precious girls, find their very own, forever homes. They have an endless amount of love, to give (we saw it first hand - LOVE BUGS). This entire batch of babies is the sweetest. We can’t wait to see who adopts them!!

TuTu is the first of Mama Lucy’s pups, to be ADOPTED! Yes, of course we are thrilled! We saved all of these babies from being born at a bar and are able to now, give them second chances. What a feeling that is 🥹!!

Mia went into a FOSTER and 99% sure, an adoptive home. Her new mama is incredible and definitely loves her ⬅️.
A huge thank you to ➡️➡️ Maria for giving Mia a second chance. She fostered her for a long time in PR, until we had room to take Mia on fully and get her stateside. Another huge thank you to ➡️➡️ Rebecca a new foster in Boston, who did a fantastic job with her. And lastly to ➡️➡️ Caitlin for loving Mia and welcoming her home. We know she will have a dream and very much, loved life.
Let’s see how this goes, but we are pretty positive Mia is ADOPTED!!

We had a long weekend with little service, but don’t you worry, we were still making adoptions happen left and right. Saving souls allllll the time (not just for social media either 🙃 - it’s hard to keep up on this platform).
First one ADOPTED was Arya - now Lottie 🤍!
She was rescued with her mama and other siblings.
The entire family is safe and now have second chances. Sweet Arya flew to NY, was fostered, then made it up to Boston this weekend, to meet her new mama. We appreciate all our volunteers that make this driving from different states, possible. We do everything over here and across the ocean 🌊, but need the help, once our pups, are stateside - and we sure get that 🙏🏼. Thank you!!!
A huge thank you to ➡️➡️ Sadie, Emily and her brother and Lori, for helping Arya along the way. Everyone who has met her, says she is an old soul and the sweetest, most well behaved pup ever!

Milo was ADOPTED and is finally out of PR! 💫
A huge thank you to ➡️ Evelyn who rescued him and saved Milo from a life on the streets. She also fostered him the entire time and treated him wonderfully. We love our fosters!! Another huge thank you to ➡️ for loving Milo through pictures, then picking him up at the airport and falling in love with him. We know Milo is in great hands and he will live the true life of - A MANS BEST FRIEND!

We are the happiest, that we could give Milo this life 🫶🏼!!
