Sandro Boy lebt nicht mehr 🕊️

Nach 21 gemeinsamen Jahren musste sich Springreiter Marcus Ehning von seinem ehemaligen Oldenburger Erfolgspferd Sandro Boy verabschieden. Der Hengst wurde stolze 31 Jahre alt.

Sandro Boy v. Sandro a.d. Wiadora v. Grannus -Argentinus kam 1993 auf dem Hof von Rudolf Meyer in Emstek zur Welt. Nach seiner Körung 1995 folgten erste Erfolge im Parcours mit Manfred Herzog, bevor Marcus Ehning 2003 das erste Mal im Sattel des schicken Braunen Platz nahm und ihn auf Turnieren in M-Springen vorstellte. Der Start einer herausragenden internationalen Karriere.

Insgesamt verzeichnete das Paar unzählige Siege in internationalen Großen Preisen, darunter der Sieg beim Weltcup-Finale in Kuala Lumpur 2006, und erreichte eine Lebensgewinnsumme von über 1,2 Millionen Euro während ihrer gemeinsamen Jahre im Springsport. 2011 verabschiedete Marcus Ehning Sandro Boy aus dem aktiven Sport. Seit dem verbrachte er seine Rente auf der Anlage des Borkener Springreiters mit seinem Ponyfreund Max.

Sandro Boy beeindruckte nicht nur durch seine sportlichen Leistungen, sondern auch durch seine züchterischen Erfolge. Sein wohl erfolgreichster Nachkomme ist die Stute Sabrina, die ebenfalls unter Marcus Ehning im internationalen Spitzensport erfolgreich war.
