Lusitanos Monte da Tramagueira www.lusitanosmontedatramagueira.com The idea is combine the best worlds of the lusitano breed. Another aim for us is to produce horses with soul and charisma.

The stud currently has twelve own brand Lusitano mares, with all the breeding stock descendant from a very special mare called Havoner, daughter of the famous lusitano Nilo MV and granddaughter of Firme SA. After a few years of breeding, the same genetic was introduced, but this time, with stallions descendant from the famous bullfighting horse Opus 72 MV. The following horses, who have proved the

mselves to be outstanding at the highest levels of the Lusitano breed, predominate in terms of our animals’ genealogy: NILO (M.V.), OPUS72 (M.V.), XAQUIRO (Quina), FIRME (S.A.), UNIVERSO (M.V.), CAMPEADOR (CSM), SOBERANO (GUB), HOSTIL (JGB), ESCORIAL (SB), RUBI (AR), LUX (DR), EQUADOR (MVL), and others. Keep the good minds and capacity of collection of the traditional lusitano bloodlines, and improve with modern bloodlines the skills, the dimension, the gaites, the structure and rideability. This strategy is proving us that is possible to improve the lusitano breed without changing it. Many of our horses are having amazing potential for sports, but continue to be lusitano horses in its deeper concept. We need to look at a horse and see that is a lusitano horse. We have concentrated on a painstakingly strict selection of stallions/broodmares, with the aim of breeding good natured horses with high levels of functionality, physical structure and slenderness, while never disregarding those characteristics which make the Lusitano such an unrivalled horse: BREEDING. Almost all the horses are exported for Center/North of Europe, some are in Spain and Portugal, as well as United States and Eastern Europe. Our endeavours have been rewarded by several prizes in Model and Movements competitions at the International Lusitano Purebred Festival, Golegã Fair, as well as in many International Events all over the World. Our horses achieved many titles of Champions of the Breed, in adition to several horses with outstanding performances in dressage events and bullfighting.

Que excelentes notícias que nos vão chegando do nosso lusitano Mala Skala Hermes (HÁBIL do MT), montado pela cavaleira olímpica Belga Alexa Fairchild. São estas notícias e resultados que nos fazem acreditar na nossa seleção, que nos dão força e que comprovam a atual excelência do cavalo lusitano. Este fim de semana, no CDI 5* de Herning, a Alexa Fairchild obteve um 6º lugar no GP com 67,935 e um brilhante 4º lugar no GP Freestyle to Music com 74,675. Já em Gotemburgo, há duas semanas atrás, no CDI do World Championship tinha obtido um 10º lugar no Freestyle com 73,74 e no inicio de Fevereiro no CDI 3* de Le Mans, 71,135. Com estes resultados, sempre em crescendo, passou noranking mundial da FEI de 282 para 155 entre os melhores conjuntos do mundo. A Alexa está atualmente no ranking 92 da FEI. Mais do que os resultados, ver a sensibilidade deste conjunto em prova, os aplausosdo público e os elogios da crítica, fazem-nos acreditar que ainda muito mais iremos ver desta grande cavaleira e deste fantástico lusitano.What excellent news we have received about our Lusitano MalaSkala Hermes (HÁBIL do MT), ridden by the Belgian Olympic rider AlexaFairchild. De volta a casa. O nosso jovem garanhão lusitano QUE GIRO DO MT, filho do Escorial e da Incrível do MT, regressou a casa depois de cerca de um ano ter estado sob a orientação do cavaleiro . Neste período obteve dois primeiros lugares em modelo e andamentos na classe de 4 anos e sagrou-se campeão do campeonato Espanhol do cavalo lusitano, com uma medalha de prata, também na classe de quatro anos montado. Um forte abraço de agradecimento ao Vasco pelo seu grande profissionalismo e amizade, e pela ajuda que deu numa altura em que o nosso cavaleiro Vitor Fraústo estava impossibilitado de montar. Agora é tempo de o preparar para a sua futura carreira na disciplina de dressage, sendo que acreditamos que estamos na presença de um cavalo com um potencial incrível para esta disciplina. Back home. A nossa égua lusitana SAUDADE MT, filha do LUX e da JOANINHA MT, que só deixou Portugal no início de Dezembro passado, para um projeto profissional de competição de atrelagens, já se encontra a trabalhar como mostram as imagens. Em apenas dois meses de trabalho, já está engatada, demonstrando um temperamento e capacidade de aprendizagem únicas. O seu atual proprietário diz que a SAUDADE MT fez coisas em dois meses, que os seus atuais cavalos nunca fizeram a vida toda.
