this year we have summer kids. 2 more births in july...

this birth was the easiest of this kidding season. first: we didn't even notice, that TWILIGHT had her kids 🤪. second: nobody made a fuss at their first time suckling. third: then the kids tucked themselves in under the hayrack like pros and TWILIGHT went on the milking stand without protest. worth a medal (or three)

well, our beloved idiot HEINEKEN vanished for over 24 hours. early in the morning he jumped his fence, wandered up to the barn, was obviously disappointed to find the girls' barn locked, and was gone. we searched for hours, but he was nowhere. we even went to the police station to report him missing. could he have been kidnapped, sorry: bucknapped? did he just pack his bags and leave for greener pastures? was he murdered by some crazy goat serial killer? or hitchhiking to the next village to meet a girlfriend?
MYSTERY!
well, the next morning came and he was brought back by some kind person, from about 2 hills away, probably feasting on someoneelse's olive trees 😬. a little bit thirsty.
his idea of a great vacation...
we were so worried.
