My little ladies are back for the weekend. They still surprise me with how far they've come with their anxiety issues ! Im proud of these lovely girls.
Its important to try and suit our pups needs ! Make the environment and energy what they need to stay happy and safe. Slowly exposing them to the things that may frighten them or make them feel anxious!

Pool and tennis day at Diamond Dogs 🐕 💎
With the lovely Howard and Rosie that came for their day trial !
They had so much fun going mad with all the other pups ! The first thing Howard did was throw himself into the pool 🤣 the whole day was spent in and out of the pool and playing in the tennis court.
These two babes slept from the moment they returned home..
Be prepared when you get your pups back they will be very sleepy doggos !!

Dolly Dolls and her besties ! 💓
I love German Shepherds. I will always have a soft spot for them considering that first ever pup when i was a little girl was a German Shepherd.
Im going to start introducing you guys to some major traits of individual breeds !
First up is the German shepherd. So lets list some personality traits to look out for :
💎 incredibly intelligent - they will figure out everything... no secrets here !
💎obedient- amazing at learning new tricks and commands.
💎 Loyal- They will protect their "human" to the end of the world.
💎 Alert- comes with a lot of barking and protection but amazing dogs to make you feel safe.
💎Trusting- You can rely on them to pick you up when you fall. If you are hurt they will come running. If you are climbing a rocky path and need balance they will offer it. My Roxie Roo deffinitely has Sheperd In her.
Shepherds need stimulating due to their incredible smart brains ! However its also important to allow them a lot of relaxation time due to how intelligent they are. If this isnt addressed appropriately they can become reactive and aggressive!

Im hoping when we have built more seperate areas for the " pack of pups" to play. I can create sturdy and substantial equipment to be used during playtime and training time !

Where has all the sun gone !!! Even the doggies want it back so they can have their sunbathing sessions on the loungers !
However all days are doggo days ! Whether its sunshine or pouring with rain. All pups love the outdoors.

Another absolutely mental week at Diamond Dogs 💎 and start to another busy one. Trying to find a moment of peace in the madness can be difficult but lately I've really been trying to split the days evenly to allow for more " time outs " for the pups.
Rest time is just as important for pups as is for us ! Without it we turn grumpy/ unresponsive/ irritable / make silly mistakes/ and in general feel off balance. I know I do !
So believe me , our pups feel the same. Although it is very important we allow for a physical and mental stimulation we also need to be aware that sometimes over stimulating our dogs " especially reactive dogs" can be counter productive!
Young dogs can be challenging when it comes to rest time! They don't always know how to relax... just like bubbas and small kiddies. So its our responsibility to make sure we create a space where they can relax and show them how to unwind in calm and safe manner....
Yeah guys its not all doggy cuddles and kisses ! My brain is frazzled most days with the psychology of a dogs mind but also most humans too 🤣

Our gorgeous little tippy toes ! Tips is still only a puppy and she's been coming to Diamond dogs now for the past few months.
