Down stays in busy environments! 💫 If your dog is like Daisy, where they have always been very over friendly and loves attention from people… that doesn’t mean they won’t be able to control that impulse and hold a down. When training this, you need to ensure you are breaking it down into small, manageable steps. Focus on your dog holding a down in quiet environments, add minimal distractions, then slowing add more. One key tip: Always reward your dog when they are in the position. DM me for more help! ---#dogtraining #down #yesdogtraining
Socialisation! Correct socialisation is one of the biggest misunderstandings for people when it comes to their puppy/dog. There is a misconception that your dog should interact and play with as many people and dogs early on to allow them to be well socialised. In fact, you are teaching your dog bad behaviours and increasing the risk of your dog becoming reactive. Socialisation consists of your dog learning to be confident but neutral in their surroundings. This doesn’t come overnight but having a calm and relaxed dog will allow your dog to accompany you almost anywhere. And that’s everyone’s dream right?#dogtraining #dog #dogtrainer #dogtrainingtips #obedience #freeshaping #bond #bestfriend #doglover #training #trainingjourney #consistency #motivation #yes #yesdogtraining

Loose lead walks 🐾 Things to consider if your dog is strugglin to walk nicely on the lead: 1. Does your dog know what you are asking? 2. Does your dog understand what leash pressure is? 3. Do you have the right equipment for your dog and are you using them correctly? 4. Can your dog focus on you around distraction? 5. Do you understand the effects your own body position can have? (In this video mine isn’t perfect as this was one day after removing my neck brace following a major car accident so I was in a lot of pain and very stiff still 🤦♀️) If you are unsure on any of these questions and want to know how to loose lead walk… DM me!
