LICENCED DOG BOARDING AND DAYCARE KENNELS
Barão São João
(15 minutes from Lagos, 10 minutes from Luz, 35 minutes from Aljezur)

We are currently taking new clients at our fabulous, purpose built dog facility in Barao Sao João.

Each dog, whether overnight boarding or daycare will be allocated a spacious kennel with a cool indoor and outdoor area. In addition we have two large secure fenced garden areas for dogs to play, either individually for those dogs that prefer a quiet environment or with one or two compatible dogs for those who are social.

All dogs have the opportunity to spend much of the day outside.

We only take in a few dogs at a time which enables all our guests to receive lots of individual attention, playtime and cuddles.

Hip score tests for my lovelies are now all complete and confirmed good. Our breeding program will be undertaken ethically for the best possible success to maintain this perfect breed. Our dogs all have excellent pedigrees with great confirmation and personalities.

Sassicaia is already in heat so we are hoping that TiAmo figures out what he supposed to do next!

Maybe puppies available from Sassicaia this year to loving homes only.

They are fabulous working dogs or pets so long as the owner understands this incredible breed and is prepared to train using kindness.

Whether you’re going on vacation or a quick weekend get-away or simply just for DOGGIE DAY CARE, you can enjoy peace-of-mind knowing your dogs will be well cared for at Rivendell.

At Rivendell kennels, we only take in a handful of dogs at a time, which allows us to spend more time with each dog one-to-one. Each of our four-legged guests receives plenty of human TLC along with being able to interact with the other dogs in a safe atmosphere. This is an ideal situation for those dogs that do not like being in a big group.

Each kennel is clean and spacious with a cozy indoor area with bed, and an outdoor area. Large enough for two dogs from the same household to share.

The secure doggy play fields are available for supervised fun in small compatible groups. There is plenty of shade and space to roam. All dogs spend most of the day outside.

One of our wonderful guests taking advantage of a fabulous country walk. This is an optional extra for all of our dog boarding clients.

It’s simply the best time of year to enjoy the Mata Nacional do Barão São João. So many flowers in bloom and greenery everywhere. The ponds have water in too which allows for a nice paddle/drink stop for the dogs.

During this time of year I plan my walks along the many trails which are well away from the pine trees and the ubiquitous processionary caterpillars during their inline travel season. Always best to be cautious.
