We offer dog boarding & day care in our large purpose built modern kennels with secure play fields for your dogs to run, play and relax. Whether you’re going on a long vacation, a quick weekend get-away or simply just for doggie day care, you can enjoy peace-of-mind knowing your dogs will be well cared for at Rivendell.

At Rivendell kennels, we only take in a handful of dogs at a time, which allows us to spend more time with each dog one-to-one. Each of our four-legged guests receives plenty of human TLC along with being able to interact with the other dogs in a safe atmosphere. This is an ideal situation for those dogs that do not like being in a big group.

Each kennel is spacious with an indoor and outdoor area. Large enough for two dogs from the same household to share.
The secure doggy play fields are available for supervised fun in small compatible groups.

About the sire and dam:
* They both live with us in and out of the house and land along with 3 other dogs we have.
* They are family/working dogs.
* They have been health checked and have been hip scored.
* They have been trained and socialized to be dependable, happy and balanced dogs.
* Both come from different Italian pedigree lines (no in-breeding).
* They are considered a rare breed and their breed preservation is vitally important.

The puppies will:
* be micro-chipped
* Have had first vaccinations & vet checks
* Be wormed
* Will have been raised in a nurturing environment
* Be socialized with people, dogs, cats, horses, donkey
* Grow into large, beautiful family or working dogs.

What we offer:
* Unlimited breed specific advice or help regarding feeding, environment or training.
* We will take back the puppy if for any reason they can no longer live with you. This is valid for the lifetime of the dog. We guarantee that our puppies will not end up in a shelter.

What you will offer:
* A loving, nurturing and appropriate lifetime home for a large breed puppy.
* Space to roam with regular age appropriate exercise.
* Continue to train and socialize your puppy in a gentle “error free” learning style appropriate for an instinctive and independent Livestock guardian dog.
* Fully educate yourself on this breed. We have a breed fact sheet available to all prospective new owners.

We are happy to announce that Sassicaia, our gorgeous Maremma, is pregnant. So lots of smiles from my beautiful dogs.

Sassicaia and TiAmo (father) have excellent pedigrees coming from full Italian lines.

If you would like to meet the parents and reserve one of the upcoming litter, please let me know.
