Just a huge thanks to everyone who has donated to Malcata Animal Association .Non-profit rescue Community Group during the recent weeks.
A few of my very good friends lost everything in the fires, here in Central Portugal
I feel blessed I was not affected
Due to not having a lot of interest in the land and association, which is a definite requirement in the area.
I made the decision to take in 10 of the dogs from friends, in temporary foster .care.
Malcata Animal Association is still for sale.
If you would like to own 4.6Ha with an established dog rescue,please get in touch.

Meet Scooby Doo, an adorable 4-year-old Rafeiro de Alentejo who is looking for a new home! 🏡

This gentle giant is a real ball of love, always ready to receive cuddles and affection. Scooby is neutered, has his vaccinations and is great with children. However, he's not a fan of cats.

Scooby Doo's characteristics:
- Age: 4 years
- Sterilised and vaccinated
- Enjoys the company of children
- Sociable with other dogs
- Loves walks and is trained to walk on a lead
- Needs space and a property with fences, as he jumps easily

We need your help to find a family who will fall in love with him! ❤️

Ola everyone.

It is time for Malcata Animal Association and my Quinta/farm, to find a new owner.

As some of you know, It is time for me to return to the UK,, to be with my family

Primarily, I would like serious animals lovers to take over and carry on the association.

It has been a success over the last 5 years, with the help of my wonderful volunteers Terri Paul, and family, and Wendy.
Also to everyone who has made donations to help with the finances. Thank you

There is quite a lot to discuss in the running and bureaucratic side of an animal association in Portugal. So when you come to view it will be fully explained

There will be between 5-7 dogs at the Quinta/farm, that will still require homes.

Rufinho and Snowy are still looking for their forever homes.
They have been with us for quite some time now.
They need a nice safe and secure space.
Both have great characters.
They are both chipped ,,vaccinated and sterilised.

We have been quiet for a while as I have been visiting family in the UK and also we have several dogs still requiring forever homes.

A very big thank you to Wendy Russell for looking after the place whilst I have been visiting family

Rufinho and Snowy have been with us now for four years . It is not the best if lives for them and need a loving forever home

A lot of ticks around at the moment ,,ensure your animals are protected.
Lyme's disease is in Portugal.

Are ticks a problem in Portugal?

They feed on most animals, including dogs, cats and people. All the varieties in Portugal can transmit assorted diseases. There are at least 8 tick fevers, including Lyme, Babesia and Ehrlichia.
