We’re proud to say: we went to the rescue once again! 🐾❤️

Our incredible Masdaw dog Zen stepped up as blood donor to save Coffee’s life — a dog in critical condition due to a sarcoma and severe anaemia. 🚨

Zen (Dea 1.1 negative 🩸) has donated blood multiple times before, and this time, he’s gift gave Raisin a second chance.

After his heroic act, Zen returned to our shelter. You’re welcome to visit him. 🐶💕

If you have a healthy, young dog over 20–25kg, please consider registering them as a blood donor. One donation can mean the difference between life and loss for another dog in need.

Together, we save lives. 🐕🩸

💚 Lately we’re overwhelmed and heartbroken, due to financial difficulties.

The economic downturn in Macau has hit us hard. Donations have plummeted, but the costs of running our shelter remain painfully high:

• 🏠 Monthly rent: 46,200 HKD
• 🐾 Medical care
• 🍽️ Food and cleaning supplies
• ❤️ Daily care for every dog and cat under our roof

We’re drowning in debt—owed to veterinarians, suppliers, our landlord, and a few incredibly generous individuals who’ve kept us afloat. But now, we’re at the edge of bankruptcy. We’re desperate.

每年8月26日，我們都會慶祝這個特別的日子，提醒自己狗狗帶給我們的無條件的愛——以及我們共同肩負的責任：保護牠們、照顧牠們。

國際狗狗日由熱心動物福利倡導者 Colleen Paige 於2004年創立，旨在提高人們對領養、救援以及反對虐待的意識。這是一個屬於所有品種、背景與故事的狗狗的節日。

在 Masdaw，每一天都是狗狗的日子。我們特別致力於照顧那些被社會忽視的土狗、流浪狗與被遺棄的狗狗。牠們沒有血統證書，也沒有昂貴的標價，但牠們擁有滿滿的愛、忠誠與堅韌。

遺憾的是，在澳門，物質主義常常掩蓋了同理心。狗狗有時被當作地位象徵——如手錶、汽車或名牌包。但我們相信，狗狗是有感知的生命，不是配件。牠們值得的不只是籠子、忽視或虐待，而是從第一聲搖尾到最後一口氣，都被珍惜為家人。

因此，我們誠摯邀請所有愛狗人士來參觀我們的收容所。來認識這些令人驚艷的夥伴吧！讓牠們親自告訴你，牠們擁有多少快樂、溫暖與個性。一起傳遞這個訊息：一個更有同理心的世界，始於我們如何對待那些最依賴我們的生命。

🐾 Today is International Dog Day! 🐾 Celebrated every year on August 26, this day reminds us of the unconditional love dogs bring into our lives—and the responsibility we all share to protect and care for them.

Started in 2004 by Colleen Paige, a passionate advocate for animal welfare, International Dog Day raises awareness about adoption, rescue, and the fight against cruelty. It’s a celebration of dogs of all breeds, backgrounds, and stories.

At Masdaw, every single day is a dog's day. We dedicate ourselves especially to the mongrels, strays, and abandoned dogs—the ones society often overlooks. These are the dogs that don’t come with pedigrees or price tags, but they come with hearts full of love, loyalty, and resilience.

Sadly, in Macau, materialism often overshadows compassion. Dogs are sometimes treated as status symbols—like watches, cars, or designer bags. But we believe dogs are sentient beings, not accessories. They deserve more than cages, neglect, or abuse. They deserve to be cherished as family, from the first tail wag to their final breath.

That’s why we welcome dog lovers to visit our shelter. Come meet our incredible companions. Let them show you how much joy, warmth, and personality they carry. And help us spread the message: a more compassionate world starts with how we treat those who depend on us most.

大约一个月前，Sara 开始来探望我们——她很快就爱上了 Vanity，一只温柔的玳瑁猫，既爱人类也喜欢其他动物。

为了帮助 Vanity 顺利适应新生活，Sara 连续四周每周都来探望她，慢慢建立起了信任与关爱的纽带。

✨ 结果如何？Vanity 被成功领养了，而且她过得非常好！
她完全没有因为环境变化而感到不安——她吃饭、喝水、玩耍、使用猫砂盆，还会跟着她的新姐妹 Mui Mui（非常害羞的小猫）在家里四处走动。

Sara 对 Vanity 爱不释手，我们也感到无比欣慰。我们始终相信，领养人与未来毛孩子之间建立起深厚的情感连接，是动物幸福和家庭和谐的关键。

🐾 Between May and July, we welcomed seven sweet kittens adopted from the Municipal pound.
Three shy sisters are still learning to trust, but the other four are absolute charmers!

About a month ago, Sara began visiting us—and it didn’t take long for her to fall in love with Vanity, a gentle tortie who adores humans and other animals alike.

To ease Vanity’s transition, Sara came to see her every week for four weeks, building a bond rooted in trust and compassion.

✨ The result? Vanity was adopted and she’s thriving!
She didn’t struggle with the change at all—she eats, drinks, plays, uses her litter box, and follows Mui Mui, her new (and very timid) sister, around the house.

Sara is overjoyed and completely smitten with Vanity—and so are we. We truly believe that forming meaningful connections between adopters and their future furry family members makes all the difference in their wellbeing and harmony.

If you’d like to meet the adorable cats we have available for adoption, don’t hesitate to reach out. They’re waiting to meet you! 💌🐱

两只来自 Masdaw 的英雄犬——Coffee 和 Urbi——挺身而出，为生命垂危的 Raisin 捐献了血液。🚨 Raisin 因脾脏肿瘤和严重贫血而命悬一线。

Coffee（Dea 1.1 阳性 🩸）和 Urbi（Dea 1.1 阴性 🩸）都是多次献血的“老将”。由于这是 Raisin 第一次接受输血，阳性和阴性的血型都可以安全使用。但从现在开始，Raisin 只能接受 Dea 1.1 阳性血型。

献血后，Coffee 和 Urbi 已经回到我们的收容所。欢迎大家来探望他们——Coffee 喜欢散步，而 Urbi 比较害羞，但同样值得被爱。🐶💕

如果你家有健康、年轻、体重超过 20–25 公斤的狗狗，请考虑让他们成为血液捐献者。他们的帮助可能就是另一只狗狗生与死之间的关键。

We’re proud to say: we went to the rescue once again! 🐾❤️

Two of our incredible Masdaw dogs, Coffee and Urbi, stepped up as blood donors to save Raisin’s life — a dog in critical condition due to a spleen tumour and severe anaemia. 🚨

Coffee (Dea 1.1 positive 🩸) and Urbi (Dea 1.1 negative 🩸) have donated blood multiple times before, and this time, their gift gave Raisin a second chance. Since it was Raisin’s first transfusion, both blood types were safe — but from now on, only Dea 1.1 positive will be compatible.

After their heroic act, Coffee and Urbi returned to our shelter. You’re welcome to visit them — Coffee loves walks, while Urbi is a bit shy but just as special. 🐶💕

🐾 慶祝國際流浪動物日 — 以愛心與歡笑陪伴牠們 🐾

今天，在國際流浪動物日，我們心中充滿感恩。我們有幸迎來多位新濠義工隊，在Masdaw渡過一個特別的上午。

兩小時的歡樂時光，無論是大人還是兒童都拎起袖子，協助為我們的愛犬洗澡、梳毛。庇護所裡滿是搖尾巴、歡叫的吠聲和滿滿的撫摸與擁抱——牠們得到如此多的愛與關懷，實在十分高興！💛

此類時刻讓我們明白，仁愛是會傳染的，每一個善舉都讓世界離不讓動物被遺棄的目標更近一步。

這些微小的行動——一個觸碰、一个微笑、一段陪伴的時刻——會帶給牠們安身立命的信心。牽動著牠們學會信任的心靈，也提醒我們，仁慈是強大的力量。

想成為義工嗎？不需要任何經驗。只要帶著你的心。無論你是陪伴一隻狗狗散步、幫牠梳理毛毛，或只是坐在牠們旁邊——你也成為牠們療癒的一部分。

🐾 Celebrating International Homeless Animals Day with Love and Laughter 🐾

Today, on International Homeless Animals Day, our hearts are full. We were honored to welcome several members of the Melco family to Masdaw for a very special afternoon of volunteering.

For two joyful hours, both adults and children rolled up their sleeves and helped bathe and brush our beloved dogs. The shelter was filled with wagging tails, happy barks, and lots of cuddles — our furry friends were absolutely thrilled to receive so much love and attention! 💛

Moments like these remind us that compassion is contagious, and that every act of kindness brings us closer to a world where no animal is left behind.

These small acts — a touch, a smile, a moment of presence — ripple outward. They remind our animals that love still exists. They remind us that compassion is powerful.

How to be a volunteer? No experience needed. Just bring your heart. Whether you walk a dog, brush a coat, or simply sit beside a soul learning to trust again — you become part of their healing.

Come be part of something real. Something that matters.

If you’ve ever wondered whether you could make a difference, the answer is yes. You can. You already do.
