Sometimes reactive dogs don't need more exercise and get exhausted... sometimes they need to learn how to relax. I accepted a challenge. This beautiful girl was very reactive. Her owners and me have been working hard and dedicated to see the results slowly reveal: a dog who is way more relaxed then she has ever been. A dog with high potential and a lovely character. Luckily, her owners go beyond the world for her. 🥰

No, your dog does NOT need a "firmer approach" when they show aggression. They need understanding and knowledge of the cause of the aggression. It's a way to communicate discomfort.

Hidden pain is one of the biggest triggers for aggression. Keep that in mind and contact a behaviourist to help your dog!

When you've a very picky dog who starts to eat less and less or doesn't even start at all, the first step is to check at the vets if there are medical problems. With old dogs, their teeth can be bad and they will be in pain.

An update about our fosterboy B. Enjoy!

I didn't update for a while about foster Bilbo. It has two reasons: one is I broke my toe which made it impossible to proper walk the dogs. I drive with my car to a flat road and let the dogs roam.
Besides, Bilbo is still fighting disease and unfortunately struggles with getting healthy. I'll try to make a video soon again, because behavior wise B is making a lot of progress!

Imagine a dog who's been tortured, abused and been hit badly, Bilbo is a forgiving character. He's totally fine now if I grab a broom or shovel, he's not afraid of thunder anymore, completely hometrained and very well behaved. He loves a car drive, walks calmly on and off lead and enjoys playing with dog toys. He proudly walks around with toys and show them to us or takes them to his bed. Despite our concerns about his health, he's the easiest dog to have around. And we'll keep fighting for him as he deserves a happy end! 😊
