GAVIÃO DOS CEDROS - 🥇 CHAMPION of Andaluzia 71.703% GP 🇪🇦 75.783% GP Freestyle, ridden by Alejandro Asencio.

On October 25th and 27th, Gavião dos Cedros and Alejandro Ascencio proclaimed themselves Champions of Andaluzia by winning the GP and GP Freestyle at the Andaluzia Championship.

We're thrilled to share the new addition to our stud, the talented horse, Ofi dos Cedros, a 6YO stallion with a bright future ahead. Started his competition career last weekend at Alter Real Stud with excellent results! 🎉

Disputing the 6YO young horses class, Ofi scored 77.200% on the preliminary test, securing 3rd place. He continued his remarkable performance in the final test, scoring 78.200%, once again finishing 3rd 🥉✨

We would like to thank you Coudelaria Quinta dos Cedros for letting us have this amazing exemplar. Congratulations to Vasco Mira Godinho for his outstanding work and dedication! 👏 We're proud of the entire team's effort and can't wait for upcoming challenges ahead!

IMPERADOR DOS CEDROS wins GP / GP Freestyle in Germany 🇩🇪 🥇70.087% 🥇75% 🥇 CDI4* Dounaeschingen ridden by Fie Christine Gruber-Skarsoe.

Imperador dos Cedros never ceases to surprise us, after 15 days ago he was on the podium in the CDI5*Crozet 🇨🇵, he won this weekend the GP and GP Freestyle in the CDI4* in Donaueshingen 🇩🇪, he is for sure one of the greats ambassadors of the Lusitano Breed on the big stages of world dressage.

Great news coming from Spain, GAVIÃO DOS CEDROS 🥈75.090% GP Freestyle at CDI3* in Jerez ridden by Alejandro Asencio.

Gavião dos Cedros beats his individual record in the CDI3* of Jerez in the Freestyle GP with 75.090% placing 2nd place, and in GP he also got 2nd place with a Score of 69.291%.

How good and what a joy to see Gavião back in the ring, after last year giving us a huge scare when he suffered a colic that led to surgery, this long-awaited return was only possible thanks to all those around him, especially to his rider Alejandro, without a doubt a very special horse!!! 💪💪💪💪

This is a Historic CDI for the Lusitano Breed, in the GP with 4 Lusitanos in the first 4 places - Gladiador do Lis - Gavião dos Cedros - Important SS - Damasco and in the Freestyle with 3 Lusitanos in the first 3 places - Gladiador do Lis - Gavião dos Cedros - Important SS !!! 👏👏👏

After their beginning at the GP level in January 2020, Alejandro and Gavião dos Cedros - Breeder: Coudelaria Quinta dos Cedros - Ownership: Equifoal, are back, being this the second time they've competed at the Grand Prix level. Our Story

A Coudelaria Quinta dos Cedros depois de alguns anos a implementar rigorosos critérios de selecção nas suas éguas reprodutoras, chegou a conclusão que a base do seu efectivo genético resulta do cruzamento Ufana (Duarte Rico) por Hostil (Júlio e Guilherme Borba) x Rubi (Coudelaria Alter Real).

Devido a um efectivo reduzido exclusivamente composto por este cruzamento conseguiu-se fixar as características genéticas pretendidas. Querendo aumentar a produção com base nestas características genéticas fixadas, utilizou-se o método de transferência de embriões, através do qual cada égua pode aumentar a sua produção anual.

Dando continuidade aos nossos rigorosos critérios de selecção escolhemos o garanhão Distúrbio (Pedro Ferraz da Costa) para beneficiar o nosso efectivo actual. Esperamos que os produtos venham a confirmar os objectivos por nós propostos.

O principal objetivo a que nos propomos é a criação de cavalos funcionais, inseridos no padrão da raça, versáteis, com capacidades atléticas e aptidões para as modalidades a que o Cavalo Lusitano se destina, nomeadamente para a práctica da equitação de competição.
