RECALL - THE MOST IMPORTANT OBEDIENCE COMMAND

Today we had an amazing day, as we celebrated 's birthday 🎂🎈
We had an outdoor trekking trip & the dogs were off leash most of the time.
Being that the road was kinda slippery, there were bits where cliffs came into the picture, there was the possibility to meet bears along the route & we went to a sulfur cave, we had to trust that the dogs would be off leash reliable in order for them (and us) to be safe.

The rule is: if your dog doesn't recall in all circumstances, don't let them off leash!

That is how most accidents, lost pets, fights & bad scenarios happen.
So teach your dogs great recall, make sure you put in the work (8.000 - 10.000 repetitions) and be safe no matter what the circumstances are!

Of course, at the end of a long walk we celebrated with raw yummies & made sure humans & dogs were properly satisfied 🍗

DISCIPLINE & STRUCTURE

These two words carry a lot of weight.
The actions needed to put them in place bring around a lot of respect from our dogs!

Many owners struggle with the concepts, often mistaking discipline for harshness & structure for boredom.
It's all in our minds constructs!

All they are is a set of known rules, boundaries & limitations reinforced consistently.
Here's a list that might help you understand them better:

🩵 Recall - the most important command you can (and should) work on
🩵 Threshold limitations - an open door means nothing else but an open door (the dog needs to wait for permission before exiting or entering)
🩵 Claim your space - know the difference between inviting vs invading
🩵 Position matters - where is the stimulus? Where are you? Where is your dog?

These all should become part of your lifestyle with your dog, so that he can be reliable in different life scenarios, such as Vanya is in the picture: calmly resting while we play pool, giving our guests room to breathe & minding her own business!

FOLLOW - PLAY - EXPLORE

Today we took our pack to the Racos Volcano & Rupea Fortress!

It was an amazing day. It was possible because we keep our dogs in a follower state of mind.
Before anything else, they know how to follow!
The first 2 pics are on the edge of a cliff. It would be dangerous if they wouldn't be in a calm state of mind.
We had some play breaks along the way, as they had the opportunity to run off leash, enjoy each other in a state of joyfulness!
In the end, they got to explore two sites, got to feel a lot of new smells & visuals, got to sense different textures under their feet & had yet another adventure together.
This is part of an instinctual relationship with your dog - doing things together!

WINTER IS HERE - PACK EDITION

Here's a picture of Simba & Puukko out for a pack walk on this beautiful snowy day!

Their owners & understood that their dogs need exercise everyday, not only when it's 15°C to 20°C & warm outside.
They also understood that their dogs need exposure & socialization, even if it's -3°C and the snow is knee-high!
They didn't just walk their dogs around the block & they didn't just give affection without providing exercise & discipline first.

Simba & Puukko are balanced & fulfilled!

PAWLENTINE'S PACK WALK

The Lacul Morii in February pack walk is a tradition already & this year the pack didn't disappoint!
We had over 40 dogs walk nicely, in the harsh weather with the wind blowing in our faces & snow coming down on us, without incidents & calmly (most of the time).
We are grateful for each & everyone of you for showing up for your dogs & for a good cause!

MEET THE TEAM - ROBERT

Today we'd like you to get to know .yooliaspack !
He joined the team from the ranks of our extended pack of customers, when he started to put in the work (through learning & practicing) with his dog Luna.
He rehabilitated her separation anxiety & other smaller issues she started to show (a bit of dog reactivity)!
In 2023 he became part of the team officially after a 6 months shadowing period & is consistently being our right hand man since then.
He is always striving to do better, he's a hard worker and dedicated student who constantly strives to get better at his craft!
He helped quite a few people learn about dog psychology & helps in the rehabilitation work with their dogs.
He is also the man to call when it comes to all sorts of pet services, like pet taxi, dog walking or pet visits!
We trust him with our dogs when we are away and need boarding for them AND with our cats when we leave the city.

If you want a compassionate empathetic trainer, calm & benevolent teacher for you & your dog, or an amazing, safe & structured dog walker, he is the man for you!

PACK MENTALITY

Today we took the pack for a trek in Comana Natural Park.
When we stepped out of the car, this little girl came to welcome us & accompany us during our pack walk!
She was very in tune with the pack & submissive but holding her ground.
She had a lot of doggie common sense & the pack took her in as part of our group almost immediately!
It goes to show you how dogs think if introductions are done correctly, the sniffing rituals take place & they migrate together.
They didn't play, they just followed & explored. And it was perfect & peaceful!

We left our hearts at Comana today, for we couldn't take that amazing girl home.
But please, if you want to adopt a small female dog with a heart of gold, go look for her there!
She's great with people & great with dogs, mellow energy but can hike 5-10 km without a problem. Probably around 3-4 years old, but can't tell unless checked by a vet. She had puppies sometime in the past 4-5 months, cause her t**s were still hanging, but in great shape otherwise.
She looked healthy physically & mentally!
We gave her all our treats, she wasn't picky & she wasn't resource guarding either!
If someone here adopts her, we'll offer a free evaluation wherever you are.
Just let us know you took her in & gave her a permanent home!
She deserves it 💯🥹🙏🏻

MEET THE TEAM - MIHAI

Mihai met Yoolia in 2020 and one year later, after they became a couple, they became partners in this activity too!
He immediately took to dog rehabilitation and he was like a fish in water, for he has a certain way with animals & feeling their energy & vibes.
During the time he spent shadowing Yoolia he learned quite a lot, then he started studying on his own from all resources available (YouTube, books, online courses) all while practicing & getting that time & experience under his belt!

He is one hard worker and since his addition to the team, we grew exponentially.
In 2024 he joined Yoolia for his first hands-on workshop with Larry Krohn in Scotland.

In 2025, after completing a few online & offline masterclasses in holistic Reiki therapy, he further improved his skills by adding this to his resume also!
Therefore, he is now able to help our customers with a holistic approach & understanding, dogs & humans alike benefiting from his profound knowledge of energy in all its forms.

If you want a good listener, a calm energy & an empathetic coach & dog behaviorist, he's the man for you!

BREED PACK WALK - HERDING & WORKING GROUPS

Breed Pack Walks are a fun way to learn about your breed (or mix breed from said groups), while properly socializing, playing breed specific games, observing body language & interactions at the dog park.

It's a soul project and one designed to educate on the importance of genetics & how it impacts life with your dog!

MEET THE TEAM - YOOLIA

Yoolia started out as Yoolia Dog Behaviorist at first, over 8 years ago.
She has been studying dog psychology beforehand, before practicing it, for 9 years, so she is an encyclopedia of knowledge & experience!
In 2020 she was joined by Mihai & together they formed what today is known as Yoolia's Pack.
Then in 2023 Robert joined them & the team grew stronger & better!
But back to Yoolia, ever since she was a little kid, she liked to observe & study animals & their behavior.
Animals are her passion & her mission!
She loves them to bits & dedicated her life to helping them, through their owners, by educating the latter to better understand their pets.
She is the core of Yoolia's Pack, the founder & the woman with the plan!
By the way, the name Yoolia, comes from her actual name - Iulia, so it's pronounced the same way. 😘✌🏻
She is always excited by new cases, different ways to understand dog behavior & psychology & is forever a student (she reads and studies a lot)!
She even trained with some of the biggest names in the industry (like Larry Krohn & Duke Ferguson), in Scotland, twice.
And of course she attended many online classes & workshops with behaviorists & trainers in the US, who have more experience.
Her style of work & communication is straight to the point, no small talk & has a good old fashioned sense of humor, that some may not necessarily enjoy (smart sarcasm & some irony here and there might slip into her language from time to time - so if you don't like that & you don't like hard truths, then she might not be the one you'll want to work with)!

SOCIALIZATION

Here are & Finn, two males one neutered, one not, one is 6 years old, one is 8 months old. They are both excited (or even sometimes overexcited when it comes to dogs). They both had the potential to become dog reactive.

But their owners put in the work & went on as many pack walks as they could, they went out of their comfort zones & did what was best for their dogs.

And so we have two dogs working simultaneously on impulse control, confidence building, 3D obedience & socialization all at once in one picture!

They had a good run at the dog park afterwards too!

ENERGY IN THE DOG WORLD

This is something many people have a hard time understanding & implementing.
It's also the most instinctual thing for dogs & animals in general. And the basis of any change you want in your relationship with your furry companion!

Now energy translates through attitude, body language & command presence.

All of your being needs to look, sound & feel like a leader!

Now that may sound hard, or complicated but it really isn't all that tricky.
You just need to know what you want & make it happen.
You want to have consistency in place & master your routines & rituals to a T!
