… A photo that says more than a thousand words…
The photo doesn’t even equals with the reality.
The reality brought tears in our eyes.
We are surrounded by animals that are in desperate need of help, surrounded by animals that have been born in a cruel country where neglect has no limits.
We are heartbroken, tired and overwhelmed by everything.
Because since the New Year has started we only had emergency after emergency. All this while our shelter is full to the brim, all this while every single day more than 200 souls are waiting to eat.
Feeding so many souls every single dau it’s a continuous stress and worry. Especially because many of them have special needs. Funds are never enough, once an animal is rescued then the lack of interest is gone and it goes on an on…
This is the poor broken dog that we have rescued today from the middle of nowhere, with multiple open wounds and in hypothermic shock.
What happened to her we don’t know exactly.
We only know that we couldn’t let her die on the field and that we needed to help her.
And this is what happens every time.
We are never free of debts, we are never free of stress, we are never free of worries, yet, we just can’t turn our backs….

Please, please help us !
We are in a dead point with everything and we desperately need your help.

…. There isn’t a single day for us without emergencies, it’s not us “ wandering the streets “ and looking for this, our phone is red every single day, people calling about desperate situations, messages, e-mails, etc….

…We don’t know what happened to this poor stray dog, all we know is that the poor soul needs urgent help, vets are waiting for us already 😭😭😭😭😭
He was found in the middle of nowwhere, in shock and with terrible wounds 😭😭😭😭

At this hour the veterinary clinic was closed, however we asked our kind vets to open the clinic because this couldn’t until tomorrow in the morning…😭😭😭
So that’s us being at the veterinary clinic even in the middle of the night 😭😭😭

… Please can we have a little more help for this poor stray boy? 90€ have been donated so far and unfortunately this doesn’t even cover the costs of his neuter operation ( he is a really big boy), not to mention the rest…😭😭😭😭
Please help us help him ! We desperately need some more help towards his vet care & vet bill 😭😭😭

…. We now have a medical update with our beautiful gentle giant, help is desperately needed for him please 😢😢😢😢
… Blood tests are looking good, however our beautiful boy has a horrendous abdominal pain which indicates ( vets conclusion) that he urgently meeds an e***a in order to eliminate the impacted bowels which have blocked his intestine to his a**s.
This is the principal cause for which the poor boy is not eating anymore, he has fever and he is completely broken.
In the same time he also has what is looks like a small tumour on his leg, due to the fact that he will be going under anaesthesia, the best for him would be to have it removed and it would be a good occasion to neuter him as well.
He is also full of fleas and needs flea treatment.
Our gentle giant is a really big boy ( 45 kgs) and for such a big dog all these interventions at once won’t be cheap at all 😢😢😢
Apart all this it’s weekend, the clinic was closed already so we needed to ask for their emergency services as our poor boy couldn’t wait anymore 😢😢

…. Most of you will recognise this big bog from all our photos and videos with stray dogs, even some of our UK friends have met him while they visited our rescue in Romania 🥹🥹🥹
This beautiful boy is one of the stray dogs that we have been feeding for more than 5 years now 😢😢😢😢

😣😣 For us New Year comes with more and more animals in need with the pass of each day and costs we need help with 😖😖😖

…. Weekends are always dedicated to the stray dogs and today of our dear stray friends that we have been feeding for a few years now needs urgent vet help 😭😭😭
Most of you will recognise him from all our photos and videos with stray dogs, even some of our UK friends have met him while they visited our rescue in Romania 🥹🥹🥹
What happened to him we have no idea, what’s wrong with him we don’t know, but the local people from the area noticed that he is not okay and asked us to help, and today we noticed the same.
The poor boy is not okay at all, he can barely walk or move, he is not just him, we know him so well, this is the area where we feed all the strays for so many years now…😭😭😭

…. Our heartbreaking reality unfortunately….😭😭😭😭😭😭 + a broken pup dumped at our shelter today after the pup was run over and owners didn’t wanted to pay the vet for the surgery she needs!!!
That leaves us with a new rescue that we need to find the funds to look after, to pay for her X~ rays and surgical intervention…😖😖😖

…… We don’t know how it’s like for other rescuers, but for us, the most difficult part in rescue is looking after the animals in our care once they are safe….
Most of the times reactions and help come only when the animal in need is on the street and needs to be urgently safe.
… But once an animal is safe…
That’s when the real challenge starts. And that’s when the struggle starts for us.
Because paying for food, paying for vet bills, paying for shelter needs ( wages, electricity bills, water bills, cleaning products, maintenance of the shelter, petrol for the vans, insurances for the vans, etc) means that we need continuous donations for everything 😔😔😔….
The stress is never ending. Because helpers need to be paid every single month. Because the animals need to eat every single day. Because vaccines, treatments, surgical interventions, spay & neuter operations, X~rays, investigations, health tests, because all these need to be paid.
And because unfortunately there are days when we don’t even manage to cover the costs of the daily food for the whole shelter.
The list is so long…
The need of help is so big, 2025 only started and the stress is never ending for us.
The worries about how to keep up with everything…😔😔😔

If any of our friends can help the rescue with any small donations towards all the daily needs and towards the care of all the animals that we have at the rescue right now, we would be so, so grateful…😔😔

….Today this poor girl pup was brought to our gate by her “human parents” who told us “have it, we don’t want it anymore”.
Why???
Because the pup was run over and they don’t want to pay the vet for the surgery she needs!!!
And what’s worse is that it was the OWNER who RAN HER OVER while parking his car.
The poor pup saw the gate open and ran out because there were fireworks going off and she was terrified!!! 😔 She was outside alone scared to death of fireworks 😡 😡
So for this poor pup New Year came with abandon and agony while for us, New Year comes with more and more animals in need with the pass of each day and costs we need help with 🙏 🙏 🙏

This poor pup needs urgent vet help and we can’t give her the help without being able to pay the vet 😔 😔
The vet will do X-rays which will show what surgery she needs.
No surgery is cheap but this poor baby is in pain and agony 😭 😢

…. A new Year has now started and while January is usually a really quiet month, this New Year came for us with a shelter full to the brim..😖😖😖
A shelter full to the brim equals with an endless list of needs…😢😢😢

We desperately need help for all the puppies that we have rescued in the last months.
They all need good food, vaccines, flea & worming treatments and this is not cheap, because we have so many puppies in our care right now ! 😱😱😱

In November 2024 we have rescued Layla, a poor stray dog that we have been feeding for a long time…Layla was run over by car and left to agonise in pain in the freezing temperatures with a leg completely damaged…😔Since then, Layla is at the veterinary clinic and our amazing vets have done miracles with her leg..In November everything was showing that she will loose the injured leg.. Layla is now using her leg even if the leg is not fully healed. But the progress is amazing. But… in the same time Layla’s vet bill is growing and with a full rescue, our vet bills are mounting.All the possible is being doing for Layla but in order to continue giving her the needed vet care, we desperately need help.
