IOANA MARASCU IS OUR RESCUER OF THE MONTH FOR NOVEMBER
Ioana is an inspirational young woman. Together with partner Bogdan they are EVERY LIFE COUNTS RESCUE. Based in Ramnicu Valcea, Romania, countless animals owe their happy lives to them. In addition to their regular food distribution - the strays come running for food and attention when they spot their van – Ioana and Bogdan help the most vulnerable street animals. The young and old, the sick and abused, the victims of car accidents and deliberate hit and runs – the list goes on........ They also take as many innocent souls as they can from the public shelter and regularly feed the ones they are forced to leave behind. They have hundreds of animals in their rescue and work tirelessly to care for them, until every week a lucky few travel to wonderful forever homes abroad. They even have a few rescued sheep and donkeys residing at their shelter.
Ioana and Bogdan know the importance of neutering the strays to prevent the future suffering of unwanted puppies. They are part of our “Neuter and Spay – it's the only way” campaign and have worked hard to catch, neuter and release many dogs whose operations we have funded. We are very appreciative of their help.

Currently, as with so many rescuers - the situation is dire. Adoptions are down, the cost of everything is up and the economic climate is worrying. Ioana and Bogdan are under immense pressure to provide for their animals and the stress is taking a huge toll on their health. 😔😔
