What a beautiful day! It was one of the best hunting days in my life in every way. Thank you for the amazing hospitality and opportunity, János Morgós. This hunting was the special prize for our achievement with Tora at the Main Competition.

Az utolsó versenyünkön sajnos sérülten, de ennek ellenére, szépen sikerült végigmennünk a CACIT Dr. Radó András emlékversenyen.
Torával 2/A díjjal 9. helyen végeztünk egy erős nemzetközi mezőnyben, ha jól tudom, végül 23 kutya indult el.

Unfortunately, our last competition was overshadowed by an injury, but despite this, we managed to go through the CACIT Dr. András Radó memorial competition with a nice result.
With Tora, we finished in 9th place with 2/A prize in a strong international field, as far as I know, in the end 23 dogs started the competition.

Once up, once down.
After returning from vacation, we immediately went on two competitions. On Sunday, we took part in the 20-hour blood track competition organized by the Erdèlyi Kopó club. Unfortunately, due to lack of time, we haven't practiced such a long blood track since spring, but based on Tora's outstanding work so far, I thought it would go well for her. We finished third out of six dogs, in third prize. I would divide the work into 3 parts: the beginning went well, in the middle we broke up a bit and the end went very well.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love challenges, so we entered to the Autumn Kurzhaar World Championship(Field Triale). No one from Hungary participates this event, so I would like to suggest that we shoul take part more bravely, as there are dogs here that can run at the highest level. On the other hand, it has always been a challenge for me to prove that a good dog can be good at everything!!! I could write a book about what happened during the two days, but long story short we failed to score. On the first day, however, Tora ran as it was written in the book, but she didn't found the bird. On the second day, unfortunately, our work was not good and there were no birds... I must note here that we were the only ones who were given an area that was searched before of us, we didn't even have a chance for a bird, also we went with a bad wind, after 4/5 minutes they also suggested us to go in a different direction... And I'm not kidding, it was 29° on October 29th....
I thank Katalin Noveczki for the opportunity to be able to hear the national anthem playing for us. Certainly it was not our last event, next time we will score points, and I hope that I will not represent our country alone.

We are over the Országos Vizsla Főverseny (All Round Main Competition) 2024!

First of all, I have to say that Tora did an outstanding job, the difference between the final scores was made by few or only special tasks among the first places. The quality was very high, we competed with the best dogs, I barely slept 6 hours over the 3 nights. The all-around competition is the most difficult, for the Hungarian pointing dogs this is the Olympics!

Our goal was the first prize, our desire was to reach the top three, but this year it was very difficult without a special task (Bringsli or Cheating). My emotions are still swirling inside me, it's hard for me to believe that what Tora accomplished made us only the sixth, but this is the highest level. For many tasks, the given circle of judges highlighted our work, we were the only ones who got a maximum score for the water control (Front-right-left-front), and we received a star for the water work with live duck. Again, Tora was applauded on the water, and the best water work special prize again went to us.

Above all, I would like to mention the extraordinary organization and the venue, I have probably never been to such an elegant and noble event. Of course, the attitude of the competitors is also worthy of this, we competed by pushing each other and helping each other.

Last Saturday we participated on the VI. Bácska Kupa International Field and Water competition in I/b prize, Tora Oberon Haus getting CACT and R.CACIT titles. (Tora with this result becomes Hungarian Working Champion)

Last weekend I got one of the most beautiful birthday presents of my life!
Tora finished at first place at the József Bősz memorial CACIT water-field competition, obtaining CACT and CACIT titles, which made her International Working Champion. Not to mention, we also pocketed the special prize for the best field work. I couldn't find the words for my joy there, so now I would like to thank everyone, organizers, judges, my competitors.

International Water Field Competition Over the weekend, despite the heat, we participated in an extremely good competition organized by the Drótszőrű Hungarian Vizsla Club, the VIII. József Vasas Memorial Competition. Although Tora worked flawlessly, we finished on the honorable second place with equal points of 265.5p with RCACT and RCACIT titles. Since both dogs are females, age decided: Tora was 4 months older. To my great pride, Tora also received the special prize for the best water work, from an extremely strong line up. It was touching when the best leaders applauded her at the end of the work, maybe that made me feel even better than the result! I would like to congratulate all the competitors, I saw very nice works, as well as I would like to congratulate the winner, who was able to win the prize for the best field work! At the competition a week ago, we had to step back at the penultimate task due to the unfavorable weather, even though we scored the maximum points available up to that point. On this weekend, the tasks were divided into two days, which helped a lot in these not-so-normal weather conditions. Thank you for the organization and the judges for their work. After the two hard days, on Sunday I was still able to participate at the IV. class football championship after a big break in my sports carreer at the age of almost 34!
