Our goals:

- to advance people education in all aspects of animal c

are and protection;

- to help convince more responsible owners to spay and neuter their pets,,reducing the number of unwanted animal, to adopt and not buy;

- to help individual rescuers work supporting them in their actions;

- to help provide needy animals with necessary treatment and care;

- to help to improve animal cruelty laws worldwide;

- to provide high standards shelter, foster care and veterinary treatment for more unwanted / mistreated stray dogs, cats, abandoned or maltreated horses or any other needy animal;

- to save more of them from thirst and hunger, pain, injury and disease, fear and distress;

- to find them lovely forever homes and give them chance to live a better life as they deserve, procuring volunteer home check above;

- to transport adopted pets to their home or injured/illness animals to the veterinarian or to the foster place.

Inside, there’s a soft cushion to stay warm and dry, and a clean plate with food regularly refilled by local volunteers.

These sidewalk shelters are simple but powerful. Built low and safe from foot traffic, they give cats a peaceful place to rest without being disturbed or shooed away. In some neighborhoods, children help decorate them, turning each one into a tiny home with personality. Seniors often bring scraps or fresh water, and tourists pause with smiles, snapping photos of sleeping tabbies curled in comfort.

What makes this effort special isn’t just the design—it’s the quiet respect for street animals who often go unseen. Italy’s approach doesn’t remove strays but invites them into public life with safety and dignity. The cubbies are becoming gentle symbols of compassion stitched into everyday spaces.

Across cities, benches now carry more than people. They cradle small lives that once shivered alone, showing that kindness can be built into concrete, wood, and habit. A little warmth underfoot goes a long way.
