A new day has begun and it should always start with walking your dog even before coffee time.
Well, if you don`t own a puppy, you might actually have some time to get yourself a drink to-go, get your buddy on leash and go outside.
It is important for your dog to accomplish their physiological needs, get some exercise at the dog park and communicate with their soul brothers.
Always make sure your puppy releases their energy during the morning walk, because you probably need to get out of the house for the whole day and, at that time, your dog would better restpeacefully rather than tear your walls and couches.
An hour or two has passed with your partner having fun of their life and it`s time to get back on leash (warning: get your dog off-leash only in secured places - away from cars and passerbys, places made for dog walking freely from leash!) and slowly walk them back home - they will need to chill before they`ll get their breakfast.
You're finally home, making breakfast for yourself and another portion of coffee, while your doggy is impatiently waiting for its food, but that might be a little early. Larger dog breeds, like the Bernese Mountain Dogs, or Great Danes tend to have bloat and even gastric torsion when fed right around walktime. Smaller breeds have less risks, but you still don't want them feel dizzy, so just wait about 30 minutes after you got home.
The dog`s food is already in the bowl and there you serve it. But have a little discipline and don`t let them run to the meal right away, tearing it from your hands.
Put the lovely smelling bowl at the place where your pup has its meals and let them eat only after they hear your permitting command.
After you both done eating and you are ready to go to work, you can say a small goodbye and leave.
If your dog is crate trained - which is also a good option for safe stay in the house - let them inside and off you go. Don`t forget to leave enough water and toys!
It would be great if you or any of your family members could walk your buddy out for a potty walk at the midday, since a dog needs to empty its bladder 3-5 times a day, give them a little bit of attention right before you leave.
It`s been a hard day and you're back home. Your pup and you are so happy to see each other. And it`s time to go outside again right after you`ve finished your dinner.
Both - morning and evening walks can be long so you can choose any of those for running and playing. Just don`t forget that a small pillow dog might only need a 30 minute walk, but a large and energetic dog will need at least 1,5 hours of active time spent outside.

The problem of overweight and obesity in dogs and cats is prevalent throughout the world. Often owners do not realize that their chubby dog or cat is obese. On the surface it certainly looks cute, but this condition can have unfortunate consequences. Sometimes it happens that being overweight is a symptom of an endocrine disease.

What are the dangers of obesity?
- Additional strain on the heart
- Arthritis and other joint diseases. Joints can't cope with such a huge body weight.
- Diabetes mellitus
- Overweight animals are more likely to have heatstroke
- Is one of the factors that lead to the development of urolithiasis
- Often in overweight patients are diagnosed with liver disease.
- The quality of skin and coat deteriorates, leading to formation of pins, dandruff, acne, bald patches
- Cats stop grooming themselves, as they simply can't reach the right parts of the body
- The respiratory system is disturbed - the fat layer in the chest cavity prevents the lungs from fully expanding and the excessive fat in the abdomen puts extra pressure on the diaphragm.

What to do?
First of all, the animal should be examined: be examined by a doctor, have blood tests (clinical and biochemical), and undergo an ultrasound of the abdomen. This should be done to rule out endocrinological diseases.
If your pet is overweight or obese, it is recommended to see a nutritionist.
