I am a professional trainer and Riding Instructor from Iceland. I am going to tell you here in few word my experience and education with the Icelandic horse and i hope i can maybe help you in the future with your own horse. I started to ride alone around 5 years old and did go after the cows to get them home for my father in that way i learnt much about horses. He started the horsebreeding year 19

I started in a club championship in West Iceland, first in childreens classes and then up in the classes when i got older. I did also start, for my club, on quarter championship that is for west Iceland 1988 and and Landsmót 1990 as a teenager. I did finish 1994 and in year 1999 I continued to study to get ridingteachear licence and higher degree as a trainer. Between 1994 and 1999 I trained the horses home at Naust and I went to Germany to train and show horses. In the year 2000 I started the Horsecenter Þórdísarstaðir in West Iceland. I took young horses in training, held ridingtours for tourists and also compete on other horses. Year 2010 I moved to Norway to train horses and I stayed there for 3 years. I had always a full stable of horses in training and many people wanted to take leassons from me. I started in some competion and it went well, I had wonderful horses that did manage to do good. Last year, 2013, I decided to move to Sweden and now I am training at Stall VitaVillan in Höganäs, south part of Skåne. I am training young horses, compete and give leassons. I hade many experiance and I know how to train, show and sell Icelandic horses.
