Snifflandia - Canine Education Centre is a place where we train dogs and their handlers in better communication.

I think for the next while, we can set Saturdays as mantrailing (tracking) days, and Sundays will focus on socializing and training. I'll combine it into a walk&train or it'll be training + a walk - it depends on the group :)

I'll be changing our meeting locations to keep things interesting and help the dogs get used to different environments. It's a great way for everyone to have some fun and for the dogs to learn to work in various settings.

For the upcoming weekend, here's the plan:
🐾Saturday, from 11:00 AM: We'll be tracking in
Törringelund (Svedala/Oxie) and I'll divide you into groups again so you don't have to wait too long.
🐾Sunday, 11:00 AM: Walk&Train in Skrylle

Register 24h before training to get all instructions on time and be sure to have a spot!

Hi!

I'm feeling much better (almost back to 100%) so here goes the plan for weekend:

Mantrailing on Saturday
Walk&Train on Sunday

🐾To help me plan, please let me know by Thursday evening if you'd like to join MANTRAILING. Will you be coming solo with your dog or with a friend who will act as a poser (Misper) for the mantrailing exercise? This information will help me organize the groups for Saturday.

I'll send out the exact meeting times on Friday, as we'll be doing some individual work and a bit longer trails, co it can be boring to wait.

🐾On Sunday, I'm inviting you for some walk&train. Since I have a diverse group of dogs, we might split into two groups:

Group 1: Starts at 10:00 AM for a half-hour solo training.
Group 2: Joins at 10:30 AM for a half-hour group walk, followed by another half-hour training.
Please let me know by Friday evening if you plan to join the Sunday and I'll reach you back with exact plan.

🐾If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask!

And for any new faces out there, don't be shy! Feel free to reach out, and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. You are welcome to join.

Her innovative approach and entrepreneurial spirit transformed the industry, paving the way for countless trainers and animals to benefit from science-based, positive reinforcement methods.

Karen’s work extended far beyond the Karen Pryor Academy, which has educated and inspired trainers worldwide. Her book, Don’t Shoot the Dog, introduced an entire generation of trainers to the principles of clicker training and remains a cornerstone of dog training literature. The annual Clicker Expos she founded became vital opportunities for professional growth, collaboration, and community-building within the field. Her legacy also includes Reaching the Animal Mind, a profound exploration of the science and art of animal training.

Karen’s vision, intelligence, and compassion revolutionised how we communicate with and understand our canine companions. Her contributions have had a lasting impact on the lives of trainers and the dogs they work and live with. She will be greatly missed, but her legacy will continue to inspire and guide the animal training community for generations to come.

Am I crazy?
Looking at the weather, the answer is a little yes. It's raining on New Year's Day, but who cares! I invite you on a rainy socializing walk. :) 🐕

Over the weekend, we'll resume our regular program. Saturdays are mantrailing days, and Sundays are dedicated to training and walking.
Expect to see some changes soon. There are more of us, and we have varied demands, therefore there will be new activities as well as the option to purchase a package of lessons.

Registration for weekend meetings is open till Friday! Let me know via PM, WhatsApp, or phone.
I need to know how many people will be present, mainly for trailing, because I may invite you in pairs to avoid having to wait too long.

Prices? 350 for one training, 500 for both, or with two dogs.

Today in Swedish:

Jag vill dela mina tankar om fyrverkerier. Snart är det nyår, och många tycker om att skjuta raketer. Men fyrverkerier kan orsaka mycket problem för både djur och människor.

Många vet att hundar, katter och hästar blir rädda för smällarna. Men även vilda djur lider mycket. De blir skrämda, går vilse och kan till och med dö. slösar också energi som de behöver för att klara vintern. Det är inte bra.

Fyrverkerier är också ett problem för många människor. Till exempel för de som är extra känsliga eller har autism. De kan uppleva mycket obehag av de höga ljuden.

Jag har en hund som verkligen lider när det smäller fyrverkerier, och det har smällt flera kvällar nu. :(

Jag tycker att vi ska tänka på detta. Finns det andra sätt att fira in det nya året, utan att använda fyrverkerier? Det skulle vara bättre för alla – djur och människor.

It's important to keep this in mind when celebrating. Do not forget about your dogs. They require a walk, time with you, and a period of silence and rest.

I believe that a short walk on the second day of Xmas would be a pleasant way for all of us to unwind. What are your thoughts? ;)

Here's the weekend schedule.
We're meeting on Saturday for trailing!

After a trail (12:30) I’d love to invite everyone for a social walk! Everyone is welcome to join, not just the training pairs. I'm excited to help you with your dog-related questions, share insights on dog signals, and chat about how dogs communicate with each other and with humans!

I know I don't care enough about Social media again, but it's very busy week and weekend. On Thursday I met with Daisy. The young one learned to work for a toy. We also trained to exchange toys. We stared to capture behavior behavior and some nose work. Saturday was a "fearful dog walk" with a chat about fear, anxiety, and the effect of cortisol on learning. We tried pattern games as a way to deal with emotions. Sunday theme was mantrailing. Dogs learned how to find the beginning of a trail, some started working on the asphalt and on longer trails. We did all I had planned. And at the end of the weekend we met Mando on a joint walk with Haker. Hacker was not interested in meeting new buddy. And, I could see once again how extremely important good breeding is. The 7-month-old toller is a well-socialized dog, full of enthusiasm for work, focus on humans. This pup is going to start mantrailing and nosework with us. Weekend was overshadowed unfortunately by the state of Haker's health. Although I can see that he gets great pleasure from walks and training, he is still not healthy. He will have an ultrasound on Wednesday, which may give us more answers. Fingers crossed. And little mantrailing movie for you.

Will I ever remember to take photos during training? Probably not ;) Training always screws me up so much that I forget I have a camera, a phone. And when I do remember - the equipment refuses to work with me. I always joke that it's because I'm a magician, and as we all know magic and technology don't work together. And more seriously, I'd like to thank a few people here who are chasing me to be more social media savvy. And they even share their photos and videos with me.
