Ended this weekend on a high note 😁
Friday greetings 😁
We are looking forward to some warmer weather this weekend!
Eventful weekend 🙂 Ups and downs, highs and lows!
One of the highlights was definitely Sunday's dressage scores and a 4th place after the dressage phase! Who knew we had it in us? Maybe I should switch to doing dressage instead of jumping 😎😉
I mostly do stadium jumping as you know, but my heart belongs to eventing, to me it's the ultimate sport, you need to be great at 3 disciplines at the same time! And the feeling as you cross the finish line after a (hopefully) good cross-country round, nothing beats that!
In the video, Geezie storming towards the last fence, canter going, adrenaline flowing - a very fast clear round 💪 again
Jumping into the weekend like miss Grumpy 🌟
Did you know I signed up Roya and Aida for a "young talent program/project" and they are both thru to final selection in August!
#Aida
What do we do when we have some time off? We go cross-country 😎 Nothing compares to this! It's thrilling, exciting, breathtaking and more fun than anything else 😁

First of all, I'm sorry I haven't had the time to reply to your comments 🙈 After being sick for a week the backlog was enormous! Not only the work around the farm but also all the other stuff that need to be done, laundry, cleaning and shopping for groceries 😆
We are a little "late' this spring when it comes to developing and educating the horses mostly because of the horrible weather we've had all winter! By now all the horses should be up and running going to horse shows! We are almost there and hopefully next week we will be able to go to a couple of shows!
Roya continues to do very well and she now jumps a small course of 7-8 fences easily

First eventing outing for the season ✅
Was it cold? Yes. Did we have to wake up horrible early in the morning? Yes. Was it fun? YES!!!!
Dressage could have been better, scored some 8s and some 4s 😎 We can do better than that.
Stadium jumping, a liiiiittle bit overheated, lost rythm but still clear.
Cross country, fast and clear! Crossed finish line on a very fresh horse 🤩 This horse loves to canter at high speed and jump fences! Much more fun than stadium jumping!
Missed out on ribbon and $75 price money by 0.9 points 😂

5yo Shah burning some scope 🔥
No scope, no hope, right 😎

Grey Monday, light rain but since we did cross-country yesterday in the sun ☀️ we are still on top 🔝
Did some small jumps since it was the first time for this horse, she was bold as brass and did really well! Lots of fun and great company!

It's Friday folks 🥳 a bit cold today but we are looking forward to a (hopefully) fun weekend!
Eventing season kicks off next week so we will spend this weekend to prepare for that! Monday to Friday will be all about dressage 😎

Went to a horse show this weekend. Snow, cold, strong winds. As soon as I stepped out truck I knew it was a terrible mistake to have come. Turned out I was late too. Tried to get everything together, walk the course, tack the horse, go to warm up, very limited time did maybe 2 jumps at warm up 🙈 Standing waiting outside the show ring I realized I had forgot to do the vet check 😱 Rushed away to get it done, full steam back to show ring 🥵
By now I was so stressed out I forgot the course 😭 At least I broke a record, new low point 😎
So this was my weekend, how was yours 😊

18 HH Shah doing some bigger jumps for the first time 🌟
What do you think? He needs to build more strength so I think what we see today is just the beginning....give him 6 months/1 year and 🚀🚀🚀

Fares keeps on working 💪
He needs to improve his coordination skills but he's getting there 🌟
#Fares
Shah has done his first show of 2023 🥳 As I expected, he was a bit tense and "spooky", not all distances were on point and we had a veeeerryy light touch at fence #7 😔 He really deserved a clear round!
When he's tense his focus is off and it's more difficult for me to help him tackle the course! The feeling as he leaves the ground though is phenomenal, he clears the fences by 2 feet or so 😅 With some more experience, I'm sure he will be a clear round machine cause he's very careful ✨
Since no-one was filming today you will have to settle for this video from his last schooling session!
