Hello, all my fellow 🐶, what are some of your favorite chews? Please share it with us!

I’m Chowder, an 8kg PomxShetland mix. I’m a moderate strength chewer and my current favorite chew is a 12cm beef trachea (aka moo tube) - it keeps me occupied at a cafe for ~20min!

Do remember to always supervise your dogs when they are given a chew to prevent a choking hazard!

We love it when we get end of session updates from our trainees! 99% of the the time, our doggies are KNOCKED OUT for the rest of the day 😴💤

The training methodology K9 Kampong believes in is to get our dogs to WORK TOGETHER WITH US! We keep our dogs thinking about how to engage with us to earn themselves rewards. Bon voyage, my dear Rio 💕

A piece of my heart has flown off to Dubai! Rio has been with me regularly for the last 2 years. We have trained hard and played hard together! I’m so proud of him for overcoming all his sensitivities and being brave in his rehabilitation with his crate training.

Many of you may have met him along the way as my training buddy or even just as a companion for buddy walks. I’m sure Rio is super grateful and thankful towards all the furiends he has made during his time in sunny SG 🥰

Incredibly proud of .thehuskyy 🥰

Leia and her handler has come a long way with just 3 sessions! They built a clear communication bridge with useful functional cues, and slowly proofed and improved their reliability in the midst of distractions. We really saw all the improvement when we reintroduced her into a high distraction environment. She walked well on a loose leash and could give us her attention. Her reliable recall in the busy dog run was especially impressive! We were so proud of her when she received multiple praise from others for being a 🤩

Walking Mollie has been quite a challenge. With a high prey drive, she’s constantly on a hunt and pulling her human along in her pursuit.

This morning, Mollie surprised us with how quickly we can change her state of mind from hyper vigilant to being calm and relaxed.

With the right encouragement, she was constantly checking in with her human instead of charting her own agenda.

So proud of the team effort from Mollie and her family!

Using reward based and positive training methods, our dog trainers aim to set up the most suitable environment for our dog’s learning! This class is suitable only if your dog is friendly, outgoing and fully vaccinated.

If your dog is fearful, reactive, aggressive, barkish or too distracted outdoors, please opt for private training. This will give us time to reach your dog at a pace that is least stressful.

Both our trainers, Su Lin and Kimberly, recently attained the CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed) qualification.

As a result, they are now recognised trainers under the AVS-Certified Accredited Dog Trainers (ACDT) scheme which was introduced in Dec 2022.

This scheme serves as an important benchmark for competency in dog training to better manage dog aggression and other disamenities in an effective and humane way.

It was such a pleasure training with Hershey and his family! Trainings would start with his sisters excitedly telling me how well Hershey was doing with proud smiles on their faces 🤩 His enthusiastic and diligent family definitely nurtured Hershey into an eager leaner who enjoyed trying new things. What a brave puppy!

As dog trainers, we can give tips and provide guidance for your dog’s training. But the main ingredient for a dog’s success is his owner’s attitude! had her first successful outdoor walk on a leash!

We went at her pace and allowed her to decompress on the grass. She observed people pushing trolleys, cars going by, and other doggies from afar. It was important that we gave her time to assess her surroundings and summon up the courage to explore on her own accord!

She realized there is no need to freeze up on a leash! Wearing her harness and leash means she gets to go on her little adventures. Now she’s getting more excited to leave the house and explore the outdoors! What a brave 🐶

Puppy Coco’s face of content! She is super proud of herself for learning how to be a 🐶 All that mental stimulation sure got her tired out! Resting is part of training too 😴

Using reward based training, our puppies learn to become active participants in the learning process. They use their brains to figure out that good behaviour is what earns them rewards! Since they learnt this all on their own accord, it is more likely that they will choose to perform these good behaviors again.

To help Nikki overcome her dog reactivity issues, we took her on a relaxing walk, on a long line, to help her decompress.

Then with a combination of positive engagement techniques, we were able to lessen the intensity of the reactivity to a large degree.

Nikki was eventually able to check back with her humans instead of lunging forward. We were even able to wait for the ride home with her relaxing in a down position.

Behind the scenes of taking our group class photo.. Associate trainer Kim attempts to sit in the middle but she’s too big a distraction to all the doggies. So Kim had to move away and quietly sneak back into the photo 😂

We did it! Happy graduation to our Bishan group obedience class 🤩 All the handlers have been amazing and I am so pleased with how far everyone has come! It has been a really fun journey with everyone!

Toby’s humans love bringing him around in the Buddyrider. But alas, their dreams were dampened because of his incessant barking.

Today, Toby’s humans got to understand the reason for his barking and work on intervention strategies to treat the unwanted behaviour.

With some redirection techniques, Toby was very quick to exhibit more desirable outcomes.

Look at the smiles on everyone’s faces! Yes, we are thrilled that Buddyrider rides will no longer be stressful or embarrassing, and we look forward to more relaxing and enjoyable rides for Toby and his family.

Engaging with your dog is so important especially when you have a large dog. Once you are interesting and rewarding enough, your dog will surely be motivated to look to you for direction and walk with you.

This morning, we explored all kinds of motivators to connect with Le Blanc and this gorgeous Swiss Shepherd was quick to impress! Looking forward to more sessions of learning fun where we work towards leveling up on reliability 😊

If your puppy is suddenly afraid of something he sees everyday, he’s probably going through the fear phase. To help Teddy overcome his fear of this huge teddy bear that sits in front of the lift leading to his home, we enlisted the help of his buddy Mindy the Cockapoo and the tastiest treats. Muzzle conditioning with Pepe

The key to successful muzzle training is helping your dog choose to wear and take off the muzzle on his own accord. Pepe’s training was so successful that he has learnt to love the muzzle a little too much. His nose was always buried deep into the muzzle in hopes of getting more yummy treats and he was not keen to take it off. It was important for us to teach Pepe that there was no need to guard the muzzle by initiating a trade with a tasty, high value treat. #behaviourmodification #muzzletraining #positivereinforcement #resourceguarding #beagle
