So true! Aquaponics will be one of the ways to do that. Using a meat produce with low feed to growth ratio and a direct cycle of nitrogen waste to grow crops. Greatest challenge will be the management of both produce and the supplementing of micro nutrients for the crops.

Some solutions are being tested, such as creating microbes which can take nitrogen from the soil to feed crops.

Great awareness on having certain self sustainability! When shortage comes, export will always be the first to stop regardless which country. This wll definitely impact on general food prices!

Stunted plant grow, suspected due to light. As mentioned earlier, unshaded area growing really well. Converted shade by folding into half and to see how it response.

Final batch of xiao bai cai!

Need to further modify the greenhouse shade, guess it affected growth for those under shade. Other than that, the sediment filtration seems to work very well and can stretch till once a week maintenance with no problem.

3 stalk of xiao bai cai! Guess these giants are sufficient for maybe 2 meals😂 But quite abit also eaten by caterpillars😭
