We have a fun fact Friday for you.

In what way are dosmetic cats similar to big cats?
Let's find out!

Be prepared to be truly amazed. According to one study, our little house cats share 95.6% of their genes with tigers! Additionally, they exhibit similar habits such as marking their scents with urine, stalking and pouncing on prey.

In other words, you have a tiger in your house.

Qn: Is dairy good for cats?

Let's dispel this long-lived myth about milk and cats.

The majority of cats are lactose intolerant, so consuming dairy products can result in diarrhea and vomiting. It is possible to find cat milk that is specifically formulated for cats and contains less lactose. Nevertheless, they should only be consumed moderately.

Unlike kittens, adult cats lack the enzyme that allows them to digest milk sugars, and so lose the ability to digest lactose. A stomach upset may instead result from the lactose in milk fermenting.

Keep an eye out for signs that your cat may have an upset stomach if they are given milk.

QN: Can cats eat eggs?
You can give cats eggs, but only in moderation and always cooked. Make sure that you consult your veterinarian first if you plan to introduce eggs to your cat's diet.

QN: How can feeding raw eggs be harmful?
Raw eggs could contain E. Coli and Salmonella, which can result in bacterial infections. When you cook eggs, you destroy any harmful bacteria, and your pet won't be at risk from them.

QN: Can cat eat rice?
If you are wondering if cats will eat rice, they can. But you should limit how much you feed them because rice is not essential to their diet. Don't give your cats uncooked rice, however, since this will make it really hard for them to digest. If you ever did, check your cats for any signs of bloating or uneasiness. Take them to the vet immediately if it occurs!

QN: Is rice then good for cats?
As felines are obligate carnivores - they tend to eat mostly meat - their digestive systems aren't well-suited to digest grains. An excess of carbohydrates can actually lead to obesity in cats. We all know what this means - health issues can evolve over time.
