In loving memory of Tom, 28 November 2016

He was found with a limp thus his feeders decided to trap him for treatment in 2015. However, none of the vet he visited could find out what was wrong with him as he will suddenly 'recover' on his own during the vet visits. Until one fine day he collapsed and was completely immobilised. Still, nobody knew what went wrong. We decided to try acupuncture on him and it worked! Although still semi paralysed, he can crawl like flash, used the cat litter box and groom himself. We were happy.

This year May, Tom's left eye suddenly turned bloody red with no reflex over night. We seek treatment from an eye specialist whom at first claims it was caused by trauma, then next visit, claim was otherwise. The last straw came when she wanted to perform an eye ball removal surgery on Tom. We decided we need a 2nd opinion.

Tom was diagnosed with lymphoma by Dr Ly from Animal Recovery Veterinary Referral Centre and he suggested mild chemotherapy as treatment. There was no need to remove the eye ball! True enough, Tom made his way to recovery. Meanwhile, he was also receiving acupuncture treatment by Dr Wang from Clinic for Pets - 小動物醫療所.

In total, Tom collapsed 4 times. However, each time he fought his way back to recovery. Yesterday, he finally threw in the towel and decided to rest eternally.

He took a part of us with him when he left. Rest in peace our warrior. See you at the end of the rainbow bridge when our chores on earth are done.
