Going Green is a Collective Effort
We’ve said this multiple times, on social media, to fellow businesses, to naysayers and in personal conversations - we’re not selling products, we’re selling values.
Sustainability is about making conscious choices every step of the way. It is made of many little green steps. It is about constantly learning and being discerning. It is a lifestyle change.
So when the co founders extended our individual beliefs in minimal waste to a business concept that advocates this to the community, we knew that it was not going to be an easy journey in effecting actual change and shifting mindsets.
Treats shopping in a bulk concept was never meant to be just a novelty. Just as sustainability is not about combatting plastic; it is about combatting waste. Regardless of whether it’s the use of single use plastic packaging or paper bags, waste IS waste.
We were invited by @pulsebyprudential to share about TDG and here, we celebrate this community who has been supportive in this journey alongside us, because going green is a collective effort.
It makes us smile seeing you step into the store, armed with your containers and cooler bags. It makes us smile when you understand why we don’t always offer a carrier (or a reused one when we do) or hand you a printed receipt readily. It makes us smile when you engage with us in conversations about composting. It makes us smile when you drop us a dm saying “I saved these boxes. Would you want them for your deliveries?”
So, thank YOU.
