No cheesy edits, no scripted scenes; just the three mainstays (both humans and vehicles) in the Pet Coach SG | Animal Training Centre team.

The daily max cap at ATC is very low. We have three vehicles to transport dogs that require it. Why do we need three? Well firstly the vans are tiny. Secondly, can you imagine requesting for transport and your dog has to sit in the vehicle for hours as the driver plies the route? Yeah we can’t either.

Feel free to reach out to find out more about the services we provide! Thanks for stopping by!

WELCOME to the annual Pet Coach SG GIVEAWAY!

‘Tis the season to be giving thanks; let’s take this time to think about the joy (and the pain) our pets have brought to our lives.

We want you to write about how indispensable our pets have become, how they have literally become a part of our family.

Entries will be submitted anonymously and the top 3 entries will win our mystery Christmas stocking (worth some amount of money)! Winners will be selected based on how touching their entries are (subjective perhaps, thus the anonymity)! This form will close a week before Christmas Day and winners will be announced on our Instagram stories on Christmas Day via excerpts from their entries. Do contact us if the winning excerpt is from your entry!

There are no rules to this giveaway. You don’t have to follow us (although it’ll help since then you can check if you’ve won), you don’t have to share this (although if you would like to share the joy with your friends please go ahead), you don’t have to tag anyone.

This is about you and your pet.

The Pet Coach SG team is growing! We’re really excited to welcome Louis on board!

Louis’ first foray into professional dog handling was during his NS days as a police K9 sniffer handler; check out his working dog Rosy in the last photo!

He then joined us at the AVS Centre for Animal Rehabilitation where he was instrumental at managing operations and working with extremely fearful Singapore Specials.

With such a strong knack for understanding and indeed helping dogs with behaviour issues, we knew he would be an asset to the team.

P.S. he’s also talented in the kitchen so we’re doubly blessed 😬

Yes, we work with dogs; many, many dogs. But no, we don’t have the answers to everything.

We staunchly believe in not dispensing advice outside our areas of expertise for professional and ethical reasons. We will freely share how we do things but know that we are not telling you to do them the same way.

That being said, never hold back with your questions. We will answer where we can, where we can’t we will refer you to someone who can.

You’ve seen snippets of it but now you can stop holding your breath. Yes, we’re about to launch our physical training space soon!

If you’re looking for a place to let your dog mingle and play then we probably aren’t the right place for you. If however you want your dog to learn beneficial skills like fitness and conditioning, cooperative care, precision obedience work, then look no further.

Will your dogs get to socialise? Sure! But it will be supervised and regulated, and it won’t be the highlight of the day.

Dogs learn best when it’s fun and when they’re rested. To that end, we’ll be incorporating spacious nooks for your dogs to be separated and properly rested. No pigeonhole setup or forced place here!

Stay tuned for more details!

The sploot is a pose that captivates hearts and minds but is it safe for our dogs?

From a health perspective, it really depends. From a training perspective, when we give the “down” or “platz” cue we expect the sphinx down and not the sploot.

Do we allow our dogs to sploot outside of training? Of course! If you’re concerned about your dog’s hip health and mobility, it’s best to consult a rehabilitation vet!

Pet photography can be a tricky process. Pet photography while ensuring the pets are not overly stressed is even trickier.

We are not proficient with cameras (as you may have noticed) that’s why we leave it to the experts .co. Dedicated time slots, little to no usage of flash or strobes, and a whole lot of pets/treats/praise/love; anything to help the dogs feel at ease and look natural.

As much as possible we strive to minimise fear, anxiety, and stress in all facets of their lives while providing them with novel experiences. We can safely say that Gretel and Storm thoroughly enjoyed themselves during the shoot, maybe even a bit too much.

We’ve been discussing this collaboration with Motivating Canine for a while now and it couldn’t be more timely (iykyk).

Comprehensive puppy training is what sets the dog up for success in the long run.

Our Puppy Holistic Development (PhD) programme covers much more than sit/down/stay/heel, we teach proper socialisation techniques, desensitisation fundamentals, basic cooperative care, separation training, and much more.

Our overarching goal is to prevent undesirable behaviours as the puppies age and mature. It’s a lot more than asking for automatic sits.

𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐬!

In today’s episode, we delve into the world of cats and the myth that they are unsocial or even antisocial!

Research tells us that they can in fact be sociable (those with multiple cats can attest to that)! Again, sociability depends on multiple factors but as responsible guardians we can modify the environment in order to set them up for success!

Resources, resources, resources! The first step to minimising conflict is by providing adequate resources (litter trays, food/water bowls, resting areas, etc.).
