Hi friends! Do you have a middle aged or mature pet and would like to schedule a general health check for them? Why not consider a wellness exam package? We recommend this on a yearly basis for pets above the age of 7. Testing is non invasive and all results are available within 20 mins. The results allow early detection of problems with organ function which may be more common in our older companions. This helps put in place early interventions that will help prolong the survival of your pet. Please reach out to find out more @ 64694744 or WhatsApp 90170897.

Gnochi the Sphynx cat paid us a visit for fur loss (just kidding!). He came for a routine vaccination and was found to be in the pink of health! This is a hairless breed of cat and Gnochi’s pawrents chose him to reduce the chance of causing allergies for their son. Here’s Gnochi rocking his dapper plaid shirt that helps to keep him warm.

We are pleased to announce the newest member of our Namly Vet Team, Dr. Lucy Shum. Dr. Shum was born and raised in Hong Kong. She completed secondary, tertiary studies and a clinical residency with farm animals in Australia until 2007. Since then, she has worked in Singapore, Sydney and Hong Kong where she developed particular interest in providing alternative complementary care to patients both young and old. Other than general medicine, she began to offer acupuncture in 2011, homeopathy in 2016, medical ozonotherapy in 2019 and photobiomodulation in 2021.

Dr. Shum has a particular soft spot for senior cats and dogs that suffer from chronic degenerative diseases. Complementary therapies are aimed squarely at improving their welfare and quality of life.

Farm animals are Dr. Shum’s absolutely favorite especially cows. She loves a cup of coffee and some hobbies include bread-making, gardening and Minox photography. Dr. Shum is also very partial to mongrels (aka Singapore specials) ever since having rescued an injured mongrel and trained her to learn to trust humans again. Please contact the clinic if you would like to arrange an appointment with her.

Betty the Guinea Pig had troubles eating due to her overgrown incisors and cheek teeth. She had lost alot of weight since her appetite dropped and was booked in for a dental procedure with Dr. Ling. Guinea pigs continually grow their teeth and teeth malalignment can cause them to overgrow and this can cause discomfort and difficulty eating. Due to their small size, special instruments have to be used to open the mouth and allow visualisation of the cheek teeth behind. Dr. Ling gently filed down and trimmed the affected teeth. We hope Betty will feel some immediate relief and have her appetite back soon!

Giving back: In November 2021, while we were closed for renovations, Dr Amanda Sim was invited to speak for Townsville Primary School’s Career Fair! Sharing her experiences and journey as a Vet. The Primary 6 students were very engaged and fielded questions to Dr Sim. We hope the sharing would inspire these young ones to one day pursue their passion and interest…and hopefully some would consider to pursue the field of Veterinary Science and continue to build up the community of veterinary care in Singapore!

We are a Vet Practice that is looking to bring smiles to our clients! This collaboration with a local artist is a small pawprint of what we feel passionate about.

PriscillaOng.Co was born out from the challenges of Covid - with a genuine and sincere approach to her craft, we found her photography testimony inspiring and encouraging, and wanted to share this with our community. We hope that the pictures bring some cheer and punny chuckles to you and your furry companions during your visits.
