The Year of the Snake 🐍 is almost here, and with it comes our annual fundraiser project! Although I’ve been busy with work and caring for my bunnies, I’m truly eager to continue this cherished tradition. This year, I’m excited to offer a digital version of the spring couplets, so you can easily print them at home! 🌟 Let's bring some good blessings to our bunnies and into our home! 💖

The spring couplets read:
Good Health.
Bunnies be Peaceful and Safe.

How it works:
1️⃣ Donate any amount to your local organisations or shelters, and DM me your donation receipt along with your email address. The receipt must include the date, organisation name and amount.

2️⃣ I will send you a PDF version of the spring couplets. You can print them on a single A4 sheet and trim them yourself.

3️⃣ If you’re in Singapore and would like us to print and trim the spring couplets for you, an additional fee of $10 applies on top of your donation, which includes normal mail via letterbox. The spring couplets will be printed on special gold-dusted paper (subject to availability, while supplies last). Deadline: 22 Jan 2025.

They are finally bonded 🥰 I think Rennie is happy with his sisters. He was living alone in a cage before we got him. When he came into our home, he was on his own due to his medical condition and Ellie was recovering from her eye surgery. The bonding got delayed but when each of them was out, they will lie down beside each other's playpen. Bonding them was surprisingly smooth and they together now 🥹❤️ Stay healthy my babies!

Our dear Rennie boy came into our lives in early May 2023 with a hidden condition. In August, we found out he has a heart mass that causes his eyes to bulge and has difficulty breathing. Given his age, we decided not to go for needle aspiration to determine which cancer cells nor open chest surgery to remove the mass as both needed him to be under anaesthetic. Instead, we chose medication and palliative care. It is quite a learning journey for both me and my husbun and I'm truly grateful for his love, care and help towards Rennie. 💗

We keep a positive and open mindset, and visit our dear vet every month to check his blood and chest x-rays, adjusting his medication as needed. Sometimes he needs more, sometimes less.

I also believe in alternative healing. As a Reiki and energy healing practitioner, I regularly perform energy healing on Rennie to balance his energy field and help him activate his own healing. This also keeps him calmer and less stressed, especially under the steroids.

For anyone facing similar challenges, please stay strong 💪 I hope you find these advices helpful. If you want to learn more about energy healing, feel free to drop me a DM. May all bunnies be healthy! 💚

On a side note, the primary diet for bunnies should be hay. Hay is crucial for helping bunnies grind their teeth, which continuously grow. While pellets do provide additional nutrients not found in hay (as told by the vet), it's important not to overfeed them. Pellets are rich in nutrients, and consuming too much can affect their digestive system and p**p. Overfeeding pellets can make bunnies feel full too quickly and reduce their hay intake. The ideal portion for pellets is around one tablespoon per rabbit per day.

A little reminder that bathing rabbits is not recommended as it can cause them significant stress and health problems. Rabbits groom themselves and rarely need baths (except for medical instances). Bathing also can lead to hypothermia because their fur takes a long time to dry. The stress from bathing can also cause shock or injury. Instead, keep their environment clean and brush them regularly. If necessary, use a damp cloth for spot cleaning. Always prioritise their well-being and consult a vet if you have hygiene concerns.
