This event has been a bit of a change-up for us. We had fewer baked goods than usual (compared to our past events), as our main focus was on promoting our upcoming pet cake & treat classes. Can't believe we're already in the last quarter of 2023! Seems like yesterday when I just launched Hej cakes.
The heart of my small business has always been about serving healthy and safe food for our little furry friends and we will continue to live by this belief. Even though (focusing on dehydrated treats and Omakase bentos) has been a beloved part of my life for 7-8 years, diving into the world of baking cakes & teaching is a brand-new adventure. But it's also the uncharted territory that makes this journey so exciting.

It does not really matter what I’m baking most of the time. But I’ve learnt that baking (for doggies) in the kitchen helps me take my mind off whenever I feel overwhelmed in not-so-positive feeling days. But the most rewarding part comes when I see my littles gobble up the food with gusto.

FT: A mini heavyweight meatloaf, weighing at 450g.
People often ask if I do custom cakes I.e 🐶 figurines or special themes. Fact is, I’m not that talented when it comes to crafting cutesy cakes 😅. But I’m a big foodie (also a very discerning pawrent) so what matters most to me are the ingredients.
I spend a lot of effort in R&D on my meatloaf creation and frosting methods, hoping that every furkid will get to enjoy their barkday meals to the fullest.
This meatloaf though simple, it is my pride and joy. It is created with only 1 protein + broccoli + carrots, without any other binders or fillers. ♥️ I can look at this all day!

Once upon a time, I made a msw durian cake for and it’s been on my mind ever since. I want to make it for every furkid who loves meat, who loves durian. ♥️
Because if you are not going to pamper them, who will?
Wait no more, this MSW cake is the answer. 🤣
P.S. Due to the nature of the durian fruit, it will only be paired with lima beans as it’s healthier and lower in starch/ carbs compared to potato.

🎣 Highlights - nothing beats wild-caught grouper so that’s right, I’m heading out fishing before CNY for one of the ingredients! If I don’t get lucky, will replaced it with Japanese hamachi instead.

Didn’t think that my minimal ingredients cakes will hit the note with pawrents when I started out. So, I can’t emphasise enough how grateful I am for all your support in this past 10 months. BUT! As this is just a side biz, I really can’t take on more than X cakes every month as I have a full-time job + 5 furkids to juggle with. Oh, and also monthly treats. 🤣😮💨
