Love Kuching Project is a community-based cat rescue group in Singapore that focuses on loving the cats in our lives and neighbourhoods.
We rescue and rehabilitate sick and injured community cats and promote the love of cats as companion animals through cat-assisted therapy.
Our primary mission is to rehabilitate cats at risk, like injured or critically ill community cats. We focus on community cats that are ill or injured, or young kittens that need human intervention to survive but have no other fostering options.
As part of our rehabilitation mission, we supplement veterinary care with holistic treatments like traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture and essential oils.
We put cats up for adoption so they can find a forever home
Our adoptable kittens and cats are trained and socialised, and if you wish to adopt, we can match the right cat to your household and lifestyle.
Our foster cats are also exposed to cats of all ages so they’ll be perfect for a multi-cat households! See cats up for adoption here.
We promote the love of cats in our lives
Through feline therapy programmes for seniors and people with special needs, we promote the love of cats as companions to the public.
We also conduct cat care talks, where we spread the knowledge of cat care amongst fosterers and volunteers who are interested to know more, to empower them with what they need to help cats on their own.
How can I visit Love Kuching Project?
Visitors who wish to come to the cattery can only drop by via prior appointment (to visit a cat up for adoption, or to bring a cat into the shelter) or a volunteer commitment (like a Play/Clean session or a meeting with another volunteer). Our volunteers will let you know where to meet before we bring you up.
We sometimes also hold open houses and events at our cattery, which you can attend! Follow our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to know more.
I found a sick or injured cat. Who should I contact for help?
Unlike other bigger animal welfare groups, we do not operate a 24-hour rescue service. Instead, our Rescue team members advise rescuers on the ground on what to do and provide directions to resources.
On-the-ground rescuers – i.e. you – are our only hope. We rely on people like you to give the cat the help that it needs; you have already located the cat and are there to help the cat or locate people who can help the cat, which we cannot do because of our size and manpower.
You can find out more about the help we can administer to you and your cat, and how to submit a Rescue request here.
